Yes, of course, it is necessary to air up on exit, as soon as possible. Shit does happen sometimes, sorry to hear.

Actually I nearly lost it, not for the usual reason. My phone app lost contact with the drone, but waited, it did not ( RTH ) Return-To-Home automatically, which should be the case. Drove 500m towards it, but screen remained showing no contact. Then I suddenly saw the controller was saying it was trying to land. but phone screen is frozen. I pressed RTH on controller, but I was blind, only rely on controller's simple numbers. Hard to do a U turn on a cliff side narrow track, so had to run back 500m. Controller showed it was landing at the HOME point, but I was still far away, and it could be landing on rocks...so I kept raising it high until I saw it in the air, and direct it to come to me and landed safely. I think there is a RTH on losing contact bug in the software. Samet thing happened to my M4P in Hawaii, which they quietly gave me a waranty replacement.
