@debbietanner ... I am also 73, next month I hit 74. Please do be vigilant re falling. I am very careful. In November I fell down stairs and broke my predominant shoulder. Due to my age my Orthopedic Surgeon advised it will be at least a year before my recovery will be near complete and I will achieve my 'new normal'. We cannot be too careful!

Thank God it wasn't Roy's knee. That surgery is the worst. Pain wise & recovery. I was a nurse for 30+ years & hip surgery & recovery was horrible. But they've come so far with hip surgery it's unreal. My Mama had to have hip replacement at age of 80. Two days later she was home (I took care of her) I took her back & forth from home to PT & back home for 4 weeks. But no way would anyone be able to do 20 stairs. I bet they have a PT/rehabilitation center down there where he can do inpatient treatment & stay, till PT is over, which they usually say 6 weeks. Only know because of personal experience with my Mama (2×) & Aunt, along with more than I can count while nursing. But will be praying for a speedy & as pain free as possible for Mr Roy. A friend, 95 yrs young, just had her hip done last week. In/out surgery center and home that same evening. I was amazed at how efficient that surgery is now. She’s doing great. No pain after first few days. Her walking is still slow but PT helping. No issues. But at 95!? Amazing.

My cousin Frank got killed after his tractor turned over after he moved over to let an inpatient driver get around him. He was was young man with a wife and two small kids. Absolutely devastating. 😢

Here in Iowa it's 92 with heat index of 108. Humidity way up there & severe thunderstorms with potential of tornadoes until midnight tonight. I knew it was coming. I've got crippling arthritis & pain is just almost to the point of not being able to walk at all. I make a better meteorologist then the ones who go to college for it...😅. Please don't overdo it & get sick. Not hard to do days like this. Please be safe. Take care & God Bless ❤❤

And my poor moms air went out to so I gotta go get her a new one in a couple days before the heat comes back with a vengeance. I appsolutly do not like the heat at all. I missed your live!!! I'm bummed. Watching it now. It's too dry in Centerville, Texas. I can't believe how hot it is here! 92 degrees with heat index of 106 degrees, but we had a bit of cloud cover. Thank GOD! It is early for this heat here. We are adapted to it, but its still HOT!! Thankful for air-conditioning. Pacing ourselves is the only way. Keep hydrated and keep those electrolites up! Prayers for Mr. Roy!! Thats scary. Physical therapy is really necessary and important. If he does it, six weeks is possible. Prayers for Rachel, too. Missing Granddaddy is understandable. I'm so sorry Jason. I know how hard grieving is. Take time for yourself. Your honey is awesome!

When I was in Taiwan, in the early '70's, the temperatures were 100+°. With 100% humidity. It was really rough at first. You just don't go anywhere in the afternoons. Just like it is here in Arizona. Monsoons have arrived. 🌵

JASON, my favorite sandwich of all time is a tomato sandwich. BLT IS second and it's Hellmans mayo for me in the north!!! Miracle whip is sweet and mayo to me has a tartness because of the vinegar in it I tried Dukes and its smooth but doesnt have tartness that I like. I also love cucumber sandwiches and Vidalia onion sandwiches. Tomato, cucumber and sweet onion salad is another summertime favorite with olive oil and red wine vinegar and a few drops of apple cider vinegar !! My Italian grandmother used to take zucchini squash onion and garlic and fry it in a cast iron skillet until soft then add a couple tablespoons of tomato paste and let it simmer, the water from the squash and paste made a sauce. We ate that all summer long. The next morning we took it and made a sandwich out of it. We were poor so we ate what Mommor ny Nonny ( Italian Gramma) made and were thankful!!!

We are in PA and dont typically have more than a day here and there in the 90's. We had a few weeks and without air its rough. My kitchen stayed at 88 mostly. Its the humidity that gets me. Makes my arthritis terrible. My animals were not used to it either. I had to shear my babydoll sheep and get some fans. we put up some "shade tarps" but the goats tore them down! Thankfully this week its in the low 80's. My uncle feel and broke his hip too, he was visiting his grandkids in M.O. and had to get a new hip. Prayers for Roy.

At 5:30PM it is 93F in middle Tennessee. My dad's brother-in-law died after his tractor flipped over. He was moving the chicken coop and just misjudged the slope. He left my dad's sister-in-law remarried years later, but the boys, who were very young never really knew their dad. Uncle Ray was a good man, he taught me to drive a tractor. I really prefer Miracle Whip, but I will eat Dukes. Thanks for sharing AND give M&M a scratch from me!

80 inside house. About 80 some outside. Without wind it feels hot. Been high 90s. Thank God yesterday was breezy. We was rain free all the hot days. Grass burnt. But got some rain some one day.
