Mother rivers never wanted to be emeritize . It was wrong then and it's wrong now. Cogic had never moved a general supervisor of women. Until they did mother river which was wrong. She didn't do anything to deserve that. So but mother Lewis was apart of it

No...Mother Lewis had nothing to do with it whatsoever. You (and many others as well) don't know the WHOLE story and the situation that brought it all about. I love Mother Rivers greatly and revere her as a holy, praying, virtuous Woman of God, and as the church's greatest General Supervisor of my lifetime. But the truth is the truth, and you should know the actual truth of the matter. Mother Lewis wasn't in it at all. It was ALL Bishop Blake's decision. And the reason was because Angie, Mother Rivers' daughter, was misappropriating Departmental funds, and Mother Rivers refused to remove her. Also, Dianne Bogan was trying to run the entire Department of Women, acting like a "surrogate" General Supervisor behind the scenes with the approval of Mother Rivers and in her shadow. Because of her close and very long time relationship to Mother Rivers, Dianne was unleashed and allowed to oversee the affairs of the Department as Mother became older and less mobile. Instead of working humbly and cooperatively with the other leaders of the Department, Dianne became a power-hungry dictator, ruling the whole Department in Mother Rivers name. Many of the Jurisdictional Supervisors, heads of the International Units and Bands and other Senior Executive Women of the Church DID NOT want to be bossed around by Bogan. She rubbed even many of the Brethren the wrong way. Bishop Blake asked Mother Rivers to replace her and withdraw her authority and influence for the sake of peace. However, Mother Rivers defended Dianne and refused to do it. Even after Mother Lewis was appointed the Assistant General Supervisor, Dianne continued to usurp the General Mother's authority with Mother Rivers knowledge and approval, disrespecting and running roughshod over Mother Lewis and disregarding the wishes of the Presiding Bishop. Bishop Blake met with Mother Rivers on several occasions and begged her to make these corrections in her Department, especially regarding her daughter Angie and the money she misused. He never wanted to remove Mother Rivers, that was not his intention - he just want her to stop the financial malfeasance and bring peace among the women leaders. He tried to work it out quietly and behind the scenes, privately between the two of them, so that Mother could continue in her role as the General Supervisor. But Mother did not want to make the changes he requested...she wouldn't budge - because she (and those advising her) didn't believe he would actually remove her and that she could continue going on as she had been, with Angie messing around with the money and Dianne running the show and offending everyone. Mother Rivers didn't want to do as Bishop Blake asked, so she called his bluff. She denied there were any problems, maintaining that nothing wrong or untoward was going on, and in essence she said in so many words to the Bishop, "if you want theses changes, I can resign and you can let someone else do it, but if you want ME to remain in office, let me run the Department my way." It was total disrespect, but it was not Mother Rivers' fault...she was being influenced by and listening to the wrong people, AND she was trying to be loyal to those whom she believed had helped her and had been loyal to her. THAT was her greatest mistake. She should have OBEYED the Chief Apostle and made the changes to the Department he requested of her, and if she had, she would still be the General Mother to this day. He would not have asked her to resign. When he saw that Mother was not going to respect his wishes as the Presiding Bishop, he took her up on her offer to resign. It was either make the changes, or resign your office...and Mother Rivers chose - WILLINGLY - to resign. So no, Mother Lewis was not a part of it at all. It was the decision of the Chief Apostle, based upon the choices Mother Rivers herself had made.

We do a lot of things just for sure we give people people's after we have hurt them and then we apologize if she was so saintly and so Godly she should have never been taken down but we always do things the way we feel just to make it look good in front of people just like the little boy they put up to speak and the complication when some Pastor only have about 50 members so chicken dinner fish dinners Car Wash and everything else just to raise money to get there no one he barely had enough money to eat all week they could appreced that old Pastor gave him a couple hundred dollars just to encourage him this church is under judgment why do you think so many leaders are going home all I can say is this be not deceived God is Not mark whatsoever we so that shall we reap we may be getting by but we are not getting away

@@detroitmusicman I agreed with you 100%, maybe you miss I miss printed what I was trying to say I was saying Bishop Charles Blake took her down not the new presiding Bishop I think the new presiding Bishop did great and honoring her I was only trying to say that the presiding Bishop Blake should have never took her down unless he he had the right to but we got to consider people feelings so many Saints are in the nursing homes and nobody come and visit them when I visit them it bring tears to my eyes they help build churches they sold chicken dinners they did fish fries and now they lay in the nursing home not a flower or a visitor so I agree with you presiding Bishop did well forgive me if it came out wrong charge it to my head not my heart be blessed

The Lord has been good to Mother Rivers. I am praying for her soul to be saved. I pray that her faithfulness and journey will not be in vain. I pray that she might get the revelation of the baptism in the name of Jesus Christ according to the scripture (Acts 2:37-38, Acts 10:46-48) if she has not done so already, and come out of the cogic false doctrines.

The scripture teaches ONE LORD,ONE FAITH and ONE BAPTISM (Deuteronomy 6:4),(Ephesians 4:5-6),(Ephesians 4:11-12),(1 Timothy 3:16),(Revelation 1:7-8). The COGIC church is not saved because they do and teach many things that are contrary to scripture including baptism. Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is a commandment of SCRIPTURE not of the "oneness doctrine". All Believers are commanded to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and to be filled with the Holy Ghost. Please read it for your self and stop kicking against truth. (Acts 2:37-38),(Acts 10:46-48),Acts 19:3-6),(Acts 22:16),Acts 8:15-16).
