With the extraordinary mark-up on drones, they are a great candidate for USA production. Then we won't need to pay Sylvester and Thurston to sell them any more. Wait until the Ukraine and Russia give up on each other. Thurston tried to sell me DJI over Potensic, until I sent him a dozen reasons why-not. Then he went away. Sylvester wrestled Amazon to the ground over a listing error. They essentially bought him off. It's a matter of trust. This is a DJI drone. What;'s customer service like? Skydio's are still available, too. Verify.

How do the geofencing features or lack thereof on the Cogito Specta compare/contrast/differ from that of DJI? Non DJI drones don't usually have geofencing in my limited experience.

Remember that this drone is a "white label" if you will - meaning DJI sold the licensing and made the drone for Cogito. It is in everyway the same as the DJI Air 3 with a couple of exceptions - the batteries from the Air 3 and Specta Air are not interchangeable and Geo Fencing can be unlocked on the Air 3 but not on the Specta Air. I have been in touch with Cogito and they told me they are working on a software update. Stay tuned .

It’s not just drones but anything being built in China. I work on the docks in LA and a lot of companies are moving to countries outside of China in order to make the US happy

You mean less. The spectra is $1200, dji air 3 is $1349. This is with the rc2. So about $150 less. For $1200, it's not worth it. I would just folk over the little extra money and get the dji air 3. The spectra I hear is geo lock and no way to unlock it.
