May the Holy Spirit help rid me of this thought pattern and replace it with a new, healthy mindset. Be careful when you use examples on certain biases that may potentially be a cognitive bias of your own. You used your own confirmation bias for conspiracy theories as an example; your confirmation bias is that they aren't true and another persons may be it is. Shows how easy these biases are to fall into. Great podcast to make you think. I appreciate your service to the Lord as I've grown closer to God from your sermons!

You're talking about visualization. (Some people take it a step further and call it the law of attraction, but that may include some non- Biblical concepts). Visualization is fine but also have some realistic backup plans.
