Cognitive (thinking) difficulties are very common in patients with brain cancer. Depending on the location of the tumor, patients may experience problems with attention, organizational skills, memory, or language that often worsen after treatment with radiation or chemotherapy, reports neuropsychologist Denise Correa of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Cognitive rehabilitation can help patients learn to compensate for these difficulties in their everyday lives.

I have been battling with my brain cancer (right frontal lobe) since childhood. I had a Craniotomy in June 2015. The surgeon was able to remove most of the tumor. The remaining tumor has begun to increase mental disturbances. My moods, memory, and understanding has greatly been negatively affected when triggered by external sources. Thankfully there are good days where I "feel" normal but still have limitations. Meditation has really helped to limit the duration and longevity of most of my "negative episodes". Great video, thank you for posting.

I’m second guessing myself right now as we speak which is what lead me here. My surgery was done last year 2023 and recently MRI scans have shown a development of a tumor(unsure if returning or new). I’m feeling more emotional than before and am trying to find comfort in seeing if this is just me or my tumor. Thank you for commenting I’m not feeling alone as much in this battle. Crazy I’m right frontal lobe as well. No idea when originated but found in 2020

Reading the bible out loud healed my neck , bones, joints and whole body felt alot stronger too. I believe it can heal anything so do it daily. Maybe look up healing scriptures online. Healing prayer utube videos have been very healing for me too and other people too, you can read it in the comments. Pray every day in Jesus' name and always Tithe faithfully, it heals so much if you do it right.

"The files are in the drawer" absolutly true!, the information is all there . Events, people history all come apart and seperate from the timeline and a new event is created. Using pieces of actual history. All the information that makes up the event is still there just scattered. Caring for your loved one. Glioblastomas are sudden and incurable. At stage 4 inoperable given 3 months. That is not 3 month is same state as the day of diagnosis, its 3 months rapid decline. Husband was talked into biopsey. heavy radiation. And chemo.... spent 6 week daily radiation, 1 month in hospital on staff infection drip iv. My best advise, love them well, hold his hand always, be there, be quiet and don't let chatty loud people in the room. If a nurse is abusive, have them replaced. They need your quiet love and silence. No loud stimulous. No questions and no talking at. Understand the time it takes for him to respond up to 5 seconds . One male n/a loudly orderd my Husband to stand up!!! using a gait belt he yanked him up out of his wheel chair...with a STAND! Order, now face to face with this large man my husband said "dont yell at me!" This happened infront of me.. you must be a good advocate be present at all times for your loved ones protection. I stated on his chart and intake form 'no vaccines' at all!!! but when I was not there, he was vaccinated with only a couple weeks to live, he developed a cold. 3 miserable and agonizing months enduring the side affects of medicine.

i've just been diagnosed with a temporal lobe tumor and I experience pretty much all these symptoms! I actually thought I was getting early alzheimer's before I had them seizures and the MRI's. I am shocked to learn that the cognitive dysfunction is only going to get worse after treatment! I was hoping I'd be able to hold conversations properly again and not forget everything short term. I get distracted so easily and my time keeping is appalling. I'm late for everything and I can't ever finish tasks.

The more severe symptoms are actually supposed to get better (decrease) after surgery, but what can remain are the more diffuse, underlying cognitive problems (such as organizing and structuring your daily tasks and pursuing longterm goals consistenly). How do you feel these days?

Why does she not address the side effects of the surgical intervention itself? Fiddling around with various tools inside the brain will guaranteed to cause some of these consequences.

I have a brain cancer for six years now I have all those symptoms and more. My whole left side is affected I can’t drive anymore. There is no quality of live. If I could do it over , I would not have radiation. A large part of the right side of my brain is now dead or damaged.

My daughter is in your position now, also diagnosed 6 yrs ago, had surgery and much later radiation, when it started growing again. It has just recently come back again and chemo is now the only option she has. She's been doing natural alternative therapies but she's still not well and been going downhill recently. Also her whole left side affected and neuropathy pain as well. We live in South Africa. I am tryingbto take care of her at home and it's extremely difficult. I wish you all of the best Karen Niecestro, we must keep praying for a miracle 🙏❤✨

I have a lot of these symptoms some I've had for years and I would just get told if it gets worse come back. Recently it's gotten worse and I feel I have a tumor. I go next week to finally have an MRI and hopefully find out what is wrong with me. I just want answers and not feel like I'm going crazy.

I would like to briefly connect with you to ask you a few questions. If you are willing and able, shoot me a reply and I’ll pm you my contact information. @@AnnatjieJoubert-zr1cl My doc said radiation burns the surrounding area and the surrounding area controls breathing heartbeat and body tempreture. Its right near the amygdala and hypothalamus. Good news though its very slow growing and seems to be in a dormant phase.

A slice of my brain tumor was left there, for preservation of facial function. If it grew, and it might not, it would be expected to grow about 1 mm a year. I have perhaps 25 years left to my life, so it won't present a problem. The tumor's consistency varies a lot, I heard. My brain tumor was around 1.8 cm, by the way.

Not exactly the same, but my mother had sever personality changes as well. Untimately it destroyed her memory. Now after receiving radiation she is in a wheelchair, cant walk and requires COMPLETE care, she cant communicate anymore. I know how hard it is, just know it's not actually her and how she feels about you. Best wishes to you and your wife!!!
