Hey guys how you doing? So the point yall brought up- about shooting with a heavy weapon after advancing via a strat, and whether you take a -1 penalty. The rule about taking the -1 to hit is in the "assault weapon" type description. There is nothing in the "advance" rules about taking any penalty to hits; only that "a model that advanced cannot shoot or fight". I think the confusing part is that most of those "advance and fire" stuff either makes the weapons INTO assault weapons; or like the Ravenwing stuff basically says "you can shoot but at -1"; mimicing the assault weapon penalty. Cogs strat seems to not have this downside.

Great battle report. Only two things: Tigurius Master of Prescience ability is applied at the start of the battle round, not at the start of Ultramerines turn. Tigurius can repeat psychic tests and adds one to the result.

DC dice rolling is getting better and better!💪 I have a question, I'm traveling with my Girlfriend, Dog and caravan from germany to Spain, Portugal and where ever we get from there. We're living full time in the caravan and I took some of my Warhammer with me (and working on small projects;) We are in Portugal now, but will be in Malaga in about 2 weeks.. guess whats between these two? Ahh this remind me when i start to play with my 2000 point marine , i too use bladeguard , aggressor because they look so cool !! And then just like this video , my marine get genocide by an army of T8 leman russ. Now , my marine list never leave home with 3 relic contempt with plasma+rocket and 3 leviathan with grav-bombard and 3 sq of eliminator with las-fulsi because you can never have enough anti-tank. 400 point of anti t3 infanty is more than enough.

@@Shaggy02 The autocannons are really only good in dev doctrine because you need ap-2 minimum on those weapons. The Ultramarine discord talks a lot about running 2 relic contemptors with dual twin volkites and cyclones. Having a techmarine with seal makes them surprisingly efficient.

It was because of an ability from a relic i believe that made any doubles peril. DC knows exactly which one. I didnt re roll just because i wasnt confident in my dice and rather have the power go off than risk it not.

Quite enjoyed the batrep on the whole but I have to say DC moaning bout aggressors and transhuman some how being "broken" kinda tarnished it for me, need I remind you they had to give us marine players a whole load of free gear to make us even vaguely competitive (blood angels and dark angels aside) after being pretty woeful for quite sometime especially codex compliant chapters 🤷

@@sn_dc Transhuman on primaris really isn't that broken, considering only BGV and hq units have access to an invuln, it's not really bad. Giving it for free on an entire class of models is however broken. Deathwing having perma transhuman, 2+ armor saves, 4++/5++ invulns and access to -1 damage and FNP saves is broken.
