Great game (and video), as usual !! It seems rangers ar pretty good against tanks... the fact that they run away every time they saw a ranger squad proof that!

you should also try going triple bars on the rangers in 1v1, ive tested they're alot more effective than the thompsons, it boosts their close, medium, and even long range firepower, they absolutely shred infantry, if in cover they can literally take on 3 whole grenadiers at any range those grenadiers are in, super op.

Well, the US AT gun is the worst in terms of penetration so Jackson is a must for late game against panthers, brumbars etc. However with highest rate of fire and double firing arc on top of increase in distance with vet1 slill it’s the best against LVs and low armor mediums (StuGs, Ostwinds). So yeah, ranger 3x bazooka (which is buffed whem picked by rangers and paras) is awesome - punishes overconfident axis armor so hard if you want to go for Scotts or Pershing instead of Jacksons Also on the side note - it’s nice to NOT have OKW with it’s op units and mechanics in CoH3, one of many examples we can see here when 222 can run inside USF base but not stay there for long. Against OKW it’s a death sentence for everything that is not at least medium tank

As a USF player, it feels to me like the USF AT is just kinda lousy. Rangers smoke tanks HARD in coh2. To me it feels like rangers are better AT. But I'm a super low caliber player.

They lack range. So the strategy he is using here of having them run at the tanks hiding behind mgs is lousy imo. They are best when they hide behind hedges ready to join. Or when they have wide flanks and when they push with other infantry. In this map in the mid he needed at least 1 AT gun or to do very wide flanks

Rangers and paras got an improved bazooka, with extra pen and damage. They are even better than pgrens i would say. As rangers can fit 3 of them they are much better in this role then paras, but who knows, maybe you dont want a ranger doctrine

I always struggle with closing the distance, Bazooka Rangers really needs to be combined with the sprint ability and amazing flank positioning.

Nice game. Is it just me, or does the .50 cal suppress really slowly? I have had games where my .50 cal kept firing at enemy units and just didn´t suppress anything for like 6-7 seconds. At a MP cost of 280, as well as a tech requirement, I am not really sure what I am paying for. I think even Maxim has better suppression.

No, not just you. The .50 cal is very inconsistent when I use it. Sometimes it will suppress quickly, other times, a squad has a few precious seconds to either move out of the arc or kill the gunner.

@@berserker4940 It needs a suppression buff IMO. It´s ridiculous that the most expensive non-doctrinal MG in the game just doesn´t suppress. I guess it´s ok in a 1v1, but in team games, it really sucks. While the suppression might look good on paper, it won´t suppress a blob, not even with infantry screening for it. At least from my experince. Either buff it´s suppression, or give it back the Sprint ability it used to have.

mostly a bug sometime machine gun freeze they just dont shoot and cant retreat some time their no supression and sometime they supress the squad in front of them and the squad who is 5m behind the mg and i dont know if its happen more now or if now i know i always see it but its happen a lot just this week in my game i also had a squad of rifleman that i clic retreat the icon pop but they where still pushing direct in enemy fire n i could not tell them anything

@@NivekQc I think the problem with the .50 cal is mainly caused by it´s very short burst, and very few shots fired. All the other MGs always fire a long burst, which makes up for their innacuracy. With the .50 cal, if enough shots miss, the suppression just doesn´t occur.

@@jirkazalabak1514 Yeah this is pretty much it, the short bursts can cause some inconsistencies, overall the suppression is pretty good though and in spite of this at the top level in 1v1 often 2 are purchased. All the MGs apart from the MG42 have their quirks, on the one hand you have everyone wanting every MG to be as good as the MG42, on the other people complaining every faction is too homogenized.
