@Ryan Vetter Works against specific build esp if they don't go light vehicles and only infantry. However, if you go against a hard counter strat like a fast 223/222/halftrack you're in for some pain.

Could you investigate the performance of weapon crate SVT's on Shock troops(yes they get 4 and keep to smgs) and Partisans? They also work on the commissar squad, but that just gives the Squad lead an SVT instead of a pistol. Would be interesting to see if you could build on the memes, Thanks!

I've been wanting to make ppsh penals work consistently, also asked you about them a few months back you said theyre underwhelming. maybe the key is the double dushka to force engagements on your terms.

Very underwhelming on the penals, not really worth it (would rather even give it to engineers for SVTs). The ppsh paras w/ camo might work better.

I use airborne for fast wins against AI to grind. High resources. I deploy a fast DShK with my airborne guards to lock down part of the map early on, and spam penals. I then find a vulnerable bunker in the enemy base, smoke it, charge in with my penal squad, and then blow it up. Then I dive the enemy base and try to destroy it asap. Of course I only tried this against AI and I gotten good enough at it to win faster than Relic match validation sometimes.

I went and played around with SVT conscripts and found them to be very lackluster. After testing them I was absolutely shocked how bad they are. They are about as effective as mobilized conscripts (7 models) out of cover and actually perform worse while in cover. So PPSh Penals are the only thing worth having here.

Whats the upside of penals with PPSHs vs shock troops? "To the last man" I guess would be helpful but generally I figure you don't want your men dying to be useful

They are often vet 2 when shocks would still be vet 0. Much earlier power spike and they also end up with a bit more DPS.

When u had a T34 and SU-85 the natural choice next would have been a Katyusha instead of another vanilla T34. It would have wrecked his Raketens and clumped up Volx. The first SU-85 loss was also very avoidable. It was way too much forward and with no spotting units for it. You had ample time to pull it back before the Raketens shredded it. A Katjusha barrage in that situation would have won you the game. He beat you because of better Strategy and unit composition, not because of micro. Yours was truly better than his, but your composition was lacking. Just an Armchair General here 😁

when you cant get any chadder, thats when you go for ppsh penals, also i would argue that they should give airbourne guards the same dps as penals with ppsh(cuz their ppsh dps now is kinda bad) along with stealth while moving in cover cuz their current stealth is omega clunky, for the cost of 80 muni

They do have the same DPS, Penals have better ACC bonus with VET. Airborne technically do more with first strike bonus

@@rmartin987 well they should get some ppsh accuracy passive similar to what commandos have with brens to make their vet3 dps as good as vet3 penal, their 1st strike is pitiful and their camo terrible, if they turn to face the direction of the enemy while stealthed they will lose their stealth and if they start shooting without getting restrealthed, they wont even get the 1st strike bonus, with DPs they are ok, although the fire superiority ability they get with ppsh should be on the DP upgrade, its useless on ppsh unit, and as an anti-infantry specialist their ppsh should be at least on par with penals(when vetted) and have a muni cost,the idea of 0 muni upgrade comes from stormtroopers that cant get smg right away cuz theyd be broken, but stormtrooper is an infiltration unit and it makes sense to balance them with 0 muni upgrade,on airbourne there should be a 80 to 100 muni cost upgrade for stealth while moving in cover,smoke gren,and the ppsh, but most importantly they should get the extra ppsh dps, so that they can distinguish themselves from shocktroops in a meaningful way, that being better dps

I personally would prefer better cloak similar to the commandos. The first strike would actually trigger easier and make the PPSH upgrade worth it over the triple lmg

@@rmartin987 commando camo is too strong and should be reserved for the units that currently have it(commando,stormtrooper,sniper,and maybe partisan i ve never used them) airborne guards should just be able to move stealthed in cover like ambush tactics for wermacht

@@lazaroskordas4397no they should absolutely not. 6 man stealth squad that can move in cover is broken period. Commandos are already far better than stormtroopers and the Russians don’t need even more broken things. Why make assault guards anyway when regular guards take at least 2 grens to beat and invalidate all light vehicles and can button? Conscripts are also completely broken as well so making anything other than those 2 things is unnecessary. Also guard motor is the best doc in the game followed by balance finders doc cuz it gives 120 motors which are easily the best indirect in the game and get T3485s which are the best medium tank pound for pound in the game as well

Hey tightrope, is first strike bugged on airborne? It never seems to work properly, if using hold fire and giving attack order a model moves before shooting which turns off cloak. The only way I have gotten it to consistently work is to wait until enemy get close and turning off hold fire instead of attack order.

Merge (full) svt cons to a 7-man cons and you will get 7-man svt conscript =) Bad news that only 1 svt rifle left in squad after reinforce.
