thank you for the guide! would love to see more videos on Theater of War. edit: wow! I actually managed to beat it using your strat, although i was being sloppy that I lost the two MGs on the Northeast, they started hunkering the top VP on the last 35 points or so, but I managed to hold the middle and bottom one when they finally started rolling the KV-1 out. i couldn't think of a better strat than yours. good job! thanks again :D :D

Key to this mission is, to Attack at multiple Sides, and use defensive MG´s that are suopprted by grens or like in the vid assalt grenadiers, also build sandbags. Building up some wires to close some gaps also helps and prevents the AI from surrounding your mgs. When you survive the first halftracks and get an early AT, you are good to go. even if you follow these steps, this mission is no cakewalk. I needed multiple trys and find the right commander and perks for the mission in order to win. Once you win it and retry it its alot easier, because there is no more pressure to win :D.. Also try it on easier difficulties for some practice. EDIT: As long as you bleed your enemys squads he wont be able to build new ones and will keep refilling the old partisan ones. Even the cheating AI has a Armycap and cant build limitless troops. Also the partisans act stupid and just throw themselfs into battles.

This one was tough but Assault Grens and me managing to capture two KV-1s helped turn the tide when I had 11 VPs left.

It's pretty clear that the computer cheats more than usual in this mission. You can't afford that many Penals AND Partisans that quickly, AND still have enough resources for a quadmount halftrack at 5-minutes in. EDIT: I have actually confirmed that the CPU cheats more than I thought. They spawn not just Partisans, but entire Penal Squads outside their base. Now THAT is just hax.

@@carrillo100100Were you able? I'm still trying. I was so close, I destroyed like 5 enemy tanks and hold its infantry for with MG, but out of nowhere, 2 kv8 showed from each side and destroyed my defenses. I tried to rebuild but the IA just rush me after that.

So, I have been playing for something like four years, huge CoH fan. This video just showed me that you can swap out commanders and add the earned buffs. I thought this wasn't allowed in the Theater of War campaigns and you were locked at 1941 tech. So my mind has officially been blown and now have a good way to run at this one. Thanks.

I started to play Coh2 from 2018, At that time the Theater of War was already harder compared with the game was launched as Relic progressly adjust some unit and tech tree. For example, I have a video use Puma to beat this mission but then the Puma cannot be summoned. I have to use the new commander.

@@BobYuan on mac there is a glitch where the saved loadout slots don't load for each mission and watching this video I looked in the upper right corner and figured out how to access those saved load-outs. Like I was saying I thought I was locked in with commanders. Thanks for the video too!

Was following your opening till around 2 min and it all falls apart. In the several savescums I did, the enemy did not focus on the north and instead went for the south and middle VP where then managed to flank both HMGs. Can't seem to figure how to push for the south fuel point without compromising the other side. As a result they spam halftrack and T-70 at the usual 7 min and pushed to the middle. I do manage to spawn a pak40 but it was too late and got pushed to base, GG. How could you hold the line at enemy's gate and did it really hold them off tanks? I saw somewhere else people claim AI just produce 2 halftrack and 1 T70 with black magic.

The standard point at the south road near their base should able to separate their territory. I keep my squad to spam that point to lure them to recapture it. the MGs at each side just provide some sort of support and recon since the buildings usually provide larger line of sight. But the MG need support so you need to move your Assualt Grenedier constantly to everywhere. at mid game I put a second MG at north to provide support each other (also prevent them using that house), but three MG is not neccessary. you can still win a close quarter combat with 2 squad of Assualt Grenedier vs 1 squad of Penal battalion. The AI has a few standard point which can provide some ammunition and fuel and hard AI has 1.5x income. so they will actually got some armor anyway. I push hard just to delay the time they got the T-34.

@@BobYuan Ah finally got it! Following your opening however not exactly ended up the same. But hold that standard spot is indeed very important as it cuts off not just fuel but most of the wast points. I got pushed back to base and lost all HMGs, but already managed to have 2 pak40 and 3 vet3 assault gren (all very crucial!). Held for a min or so to get one P4 J. Pushed back with pak and panther, and quickly occupied two VP, and hunted 1 KV down, when I've got only 45 points remaining.Re-crewed a zis and with the 3 AT gun plus a panther, finally hunted down two more KV1. After that AI has got only inf left and the last 100 points was basically AFK through. Man that battle was insane! The first 5 min can't have any wrong move otherwise the enemy is not gonna fall into the HMG. And if that happened, the run is over, cuz the enemy will be drawn over to other places and flank the HMG position. Please tell me that's the most difficult ToW battle.... I think even Rostov (with cheese) and Bridge Defense is easier

I remember you can only build Tier 3 building so no Panther. Panther is also not available in 1941. How did you get Panther? Did you mean the Panzer IV?

Question i played this on conscript and could hold 3 points abit of a struggle but it wasnt as hard as Captian in conscript they launch maybe a few penals/conscripts/partisans etc and 1 halftrack/AA/Normal varient and i usually counter easily but its not easy then i tried captain i get 3 Halftracks 1 normal 2 AA and a KV already rushing so fast when i have half of the map with them having 1 fuel point ive tried countering with AT rifle PZG maybe i should use Cold Tech Pioneers but idk do u have an answer

I haven't try other difficulty since general is most difficult. The whole point of the game is to reduce enemy fuel gain as much as possible. The different between this with normal game is there is only 1941 equipment. The panzer iv and stg III doesn't have a 75/L45 kwk gun which make it very weak against Soviet T-34/76 and KV-1. Panzergrenadiers also don't have Panzershreck rocket launcher which is more powerful against light and mid armor vehicles. The anti tank rifle is only for light armor and panzergrenadiers only have 4 man in one squad. Which makes them vulnerable to T70 and T-34/76. So in ideal condition I only use Pak40 against armor vehicle and not use the panzergrenadiers and Panzer IV/F at all. No matter what stragetgy you use. The early stage should focus on reduce enemy point to delay their tank into the game. In the old version when Puma can be summoned I use that commander, but the puma no longer summonable. Then the best choice is this new commander which is unrealistic.

Hard AI has 1.5x modifier for every resource, one standard point has 5 munition 3 fuel. so they can slowly get fuel. But if they have fuel points their tank will come a lot early .
