It's more a mutual thing. The comics explain the music and the music helps put the comics into the perspective of the characters. You need both to fully understand the story.

I wish so badly, they could play shows like this again. Last time they played in these little places, I was too young to go. I want to be able to jump up on stage and play drums with Josh.

Such a bad ass performance. You wont see any new videos like this one haha. They're too big now. That kid pretending to play with Josh would've gotten devoured by a security guard and Claudio would have gotten torn apart.

@TheJazzSwings This intelligent music may have an uplifting groove, but it speaks volumes about the troubles of man. Jazz was really the first groove that embraced an intelligent folk music, a smart music marketed for every single person in the community because it was hard work. Men that played with the rigor of orchestral musicians played in the small clubs available to the everyday man.

@TheJazzSwings Jazz is about improvisation, about a couple of musicians getting together and jamming to a beat. Yes, it is hard to play but that is bc of the dissonance that they strive to achieve during a jam. Jazz is often out of tune but that is the sound that their looking for in order to paint a picture. And jazz wasn't the first kind of music that appealed to the intelligent crowd, that was the romantic period where musician played for aristocrats. CC is a very smart band bc of the concept

Coheed, who is watching from a second-story window, readies a hammer. Josephine walks into the kitchen, and vomits into the sink after her ordeal with the Jersey City Devils. Cambria wakes up and walks downstairs to see her. The two hug, and Cambria assures her that shes safe now. Coheed walks into the room, struggling with what he believes he must do. He tells Josephine to come to him, and attacks her as Patrick is walking into the house. Later,

@TheJazzSwings and then, because so little is thought of the concept of "intelligent music" most people say that if it is intelligent then it must be jazz, like saying a smart person must be a doctor. Jazz, in a real life definition, is music that swings. My user name... The jazz swings. Now, the jazz groove, the swing, is a groove that is highly uplifting, and to people who don't listen to the genre, it is old, but in reality, the swing groove is utilized when the media wants

@TheJazzSwings so they tried to claim it for themselves because they loved the freedom they had to express themselves, and they made money because everybody around them loved it too, because of how hard they worked. It has been a music about overcoming the challenges and adversity in life. It was born from the most oppressed people in America and was played by men who strived to become something not through lyrics and yelling, but through hard work. Jazz sounds smooth from an aesthetic view

Actually, The Fall of House Atlantic's vocals were Travis's. I'd Say Good Apollo 1 and 2 are interchangeable for 3rd and 4th place. But actually i think The Second Stage is Coheed's best album. In Keeping Secrets is a VERY close second though.

Hey man, they're not trying to do anything- they're just making music like they always have. Just because more people like them now, you can't just turn on them and say they're going mainstream. SSTB is amazing but it would be a BAD thing if they just dwelled on it forever- its a GOOD thing that they're changing, even if one likes the old albums better.

@vanhalen021 and as for "getting into the music" jazz is a language, to call it boring is foolish. Jazz is an entire history of intelligent people building off the ideas of the past. Not just in the main statements, but also in their improvisational solos.

well, in my honest opinion, being a fan from very early on, i think NWFT was the biggest stray from their original fans possible. i really miss the SSTB/IKSSE days.. i just don't think claudio is capable of writing another song of SSTB quality. i remember being so excited about this band and everything they did -- but i seriously didn't get halfway through NWFT before i threw my headphones down in disgust and walked away
