Unlike the other three entities Sirius had encountered in the Keywork, Evagria was an angel in life. She was always there to help someone in need and tried to improve the lives of everyone around her. As she aged, Evagria eventually caught a very rare and incurable bone disease. She passed on surrounded by gifts from loving friends and family. In the Keywork, Evagria found Sirius near death after being inhabited by Domino, Holly Wood, and Vic, all of whom were violent and negative influences in life. Evagria, being an angel in life, had the same qualities in the Keywork, being able to nurse Sirius back to health and fend off the other entities at the same time. But she can only hang on for so long...

It's why I love her song and Sentry's. Both have tragic history, but they rise above them in the Keywork and transcend showing Sirius that there is a better afterlife. One he ultimately pursues for both himself and his wife.

I absolutely love how the drum kit sounds in this track. Between the impeccable tones of the toms and snare and the overall tightness of the groove I must say this is by far the most musically impressive Coheed & Cambria song I have ever heard.

There is just something surreal and divine about this song. Otherworldly even. From the bridge, to the outro. Especially the outro. Imagine being someone who has given up. Ready to die and be lost to the ends of time...and somewhere in the deep void is a lingering love and will of otherworldly power that promises to protect you.

The drumming in this song is probably the OST under appreciated piece of drumming of the last 10 years.......it is SO SO full of playing, I’ve listened 150 times at least over the years and still can’t pick it all out......almost as if the kit is a lead instrument in this song.........this is a true masterpiece........NO doubt.

This sinking warmth through obscurity, Beyond the sweet in between where and what you're doing, There is a view of an uncharted place, Where you're the brunt of a joke and everyone's laughing, I am not who I seem, who you thought I could be, The support you could lean up against when you need, I'm the dark when you want, the lights out at all costs, This is mine, that is yours, I'm the bricks in your wall. Goodbye forever, my darling, whether I was everything you thought I'd be or not, I was a bad man, oh, to stop you girl from loving me. Goodbye forever, my darling, whether I was everything you thought I'd be or not, I was a bad man, oh, to stop you girl from loving me. A yearning loss to silence me, The struggle breaks the black and white, calling, transmitting, The echo breaks, electric air, Her pulse it stretches from never to everywhere. And from the other side she'll save me, Her courage, strength and heart beyond, I wish she'd stay mine But her place is in some other time. Goodbye forever, my darling, whether I was everything you thought I'd be or not, I was a bad man, oh, to stop you girl from loving me. Body separating, ascend and release, This tragedy is all my fault, Reaching, desperately to salvage any piece, This tragedy is all my fault. This hurt won't, won't go away This hurt won't, won't go away This hurt won't, won't go away This hurt won't, won't go away This hurt won't, won't go away This hurt won't, won't go away This hurt won't, won't go away This hurt won't, won't go away And from the other side she'll save me, Her courage, strength and heart beyond, I wish she'd stay mine But her place is in some other time. I want to thank you, all of the band. This album came out 2 days after my mother died when I was only in my 20’s. I purchased it at my local Best Buy and listened to the entire album in the parking lot. I cried hard hearing this song, the themes of hurt, tragedy, but hopeful afterlife I guess hit hard. But I’m hopeful my mom will always try to “from the other side, she saves me” when I need it through her courage, faith and heart. And she will never be forgotten.

I couldnt stand this album when it came out. The last thing i liked by them was year of the black rainbow. To me, it just didnt sound "Coheed." My best friend convinced me to give it another listen saying "this is one of the most Coheed albums they have made since IKSSE3." So i did. Many songs on this album are absolute fire, but like always the ones with roman numerals tend to be my favorite. I was a classically trained professional musician and teacher for years before i moved on, and i can say with 100% certainty that Coheed is one of the most gifted in terms of musicality that has ever existed.

Evagria's love shielding Sirus in the Keywork is such a tear jerk moment. Can't listen to this without tearing up about the ghost of a ficitional woman with a heart of gold and a man realizing how lucky he was for the wife he took for granted. The whole Sirus story is an Oscar heart string puller.
