like look, perception of art is subjective, so i'm not gonna be all like "this ain't even a good song let alone not even the best Coheed song" HOWEVER every aspect of post colonial western music leads into influencing rock n roll, and every aspect of rock n roll influences every other style of more contemporary western music. i personally think it's narrow minded af to limit your understanding, appreciation, and enjoyment of rock n roll music to a paltry 6:09 of organized sounds framed under "progressive rock". a decent composition yes, but not my proxy for the culture.

Why are these shows so short? 12 songs? First off they should have played the entire Afterman album in its entirety plus encores. That is just what you do when you make a double album, especially a concept piece (ahem, Lamb Lies Down on Broadway). Secondly, they have such an extensive Library, how can they only play an hour and a half's worth of music if that?

Are you serious? You did watch the video right? Both guitarists are amazing. Thats not even an opinion, its a fact that both guitarist are very well trained and can play their guitars very well. And this was only a taste. You should see some of the godly back and forth guitar solos they do on the willing well IV the final cut live.

Terry Yao There is more to music than the most complex of pieces. There is the feeling, tone and overall sound. If you listen to a lot of bands with very accomplished guitarists, they go out of their way to showcase their technical abilities they lose sight of the prize. Sometimes, less is more. And guitar playing (and music in general) isn't supposed to really be so much about impressing people with their technical ability. I'm not down-playing the importance of practicing technique either! What I'm trying to say is if you are focusing on whether or not you're "impressed" by these guys, you're missing out. Sit back and let yourself enjoy it.
