Thank you SO MUCH for your videos on Field of Glory II Medieval! They would also apply to the regular Field of Glory II. It certainly takes the mystery out of playing this wonderful series!

Good video, very helpful. And also I find the timestamps list to be helpful as well. A good way to go back and get a refresher on certain points.

Great overview! I will share the video with some newer players I know. Can we expect guides on other aspects of the FoG system as well? 😊

Awesome please do. Yes I have tips and tricks video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qGjZdGmvrLadqKs I have also prepared a basics guide and how to break a unit in 1 turn? I am considering doing a guide on evasion/pursuit and autobreak, but I am not fully decided. ON one hand it would nice to have one video to summarize it , on the other hand most of the info is already in the other videos.

Awesome, looking forward to the basic guide! Just realized you have three aditional videos in the playlist still on private. Good to know that more is coming. You are probably right regarding the evasion. But then, if people are specifically looking for infos on evasion/pursuit/autobreak that might be found easier. So, just go for it. 😉

An informative analysis of how tactics are translated into the mechanics of game play. The negative cohesion effect of Fall Back (3:19) makes no sense to me. The Mongols would often bait their enemies by feigning a general retreat, only to lure them into a kill box. So a game is limited by what the developers understand of tactics. Thanks!

Thanks. I think they were trying to imitate that it might be scary for a unit to turn their back to their enemies (making them much more vulnerable). Units that are of high quality would most likely survive the fall back, but I wouldn't want to try it with low quality or fragmented units.

There are many historical occasions when units were ordered to fall back, but the men panicked and the planned retreat turned into a rout. This only happens in game when a Fall back move is ordered when the unit is in close proximity to the enemy. Mongol feigned retreats are represented in the game by the Evading system.
