I can look past the graphics of any game so long as its fun and entertaining to me, that's all that really matters. Objectively speaking though, the character models are a bit jarring which tends to diminish immersion. I think they were trying to make everyday, not intentionally pretty people for the sake of realism. Perhaps we're psychologically programed to expect beautiful or on the other side of the spectrum, really weird looking people that intrigue us, since the fact everyone including myself find these faces weird.

Yeah, i agrerw it reviews. the character mdoels do kidn of loo le melted actin figures. it a bit jaring. but the story is alirght

"Expecting something you're not going to get isn't good criticism." Sure, but you can't deny the character models are indeed awful which is the chat are mostly pointing out. So I'm going to expect their next game to improved upon it. Unless you're Piranha Bytes and ignore criticisms and just go with the flow for 10+ years.

well prepare to be disappointed. This company spends most of their money on voice acting. To get better looking characters means building a new engine, which means hiring engineers. After that hire artists to work longer on building not only better character models, but also higher rez textures. After that you need more complex rigging for the characters movements to look realistic. This company didn't create shitty character models because they didn't know how. They just decided to spend their resources on telling a story. Unless you're going to personally invest millions into this company to help them along; then yes, "Expecting something you're not going to get isn't good criticism.".

​@@lilgenius ​Presentation is key. Also this game uses Unreal Engine 4, you don't need to upgrade to 5 to get better looking characters. Looking at their website, they already have a full fledged team except for 3D modeler/character designer which I assume they outsourced those responsibilities somewhere else. If they have no plans to decide to divert or invest some resources into their characters' models for their next game after feedback. Then, ok. :)
