@@rowland84outdoors11 It gets addictive. The fishing and the videos. I started fishing in Tennessee as a very young kid. Then joined the Army and didn’t fish. After I retired I started fishing again to help with my mental health. I actually started KZbin as away to keep a video journal for myself. I never thought anyone would ever watch my stuff. If you’re ever in my area or want to drive up, hit me up and we will see if we can put something together. Meanwhile I’ll check your channel out and sub to it. Be safe and tight lines my friend.

@@johnvball9 Yes. We are still getting all the techniques down to trolling for salmon. We are both fairly new to it but thank you for your comment and advice.

It was another fun time fishing with you. We limit out way too quick but that's what happen when you have good bait plus you put us on fish every time. Thanks again for the experience and looking forward to fish with you soon. Great video!!

@johnvball9 if you weren't so far away you know your invited every trip...lol. All you gotta do is reach out to CountryBoy360 and he will put you on fish every time. I would take you out on my kayak but I don't think that's a good idea...lmao

What a bummer about your net! I've started putting tape along the threads so they don't unscrew.
@countryboy3604 ай бұрын
@@BennettBuilt-yu2gw I have another just like it but just doesn’t extend as far. Did you put the tape on the actual threads or just taped where the net meets the handle? Thank you.
@BennettBuilt-yu2gw4 ай бұрын
@@countryboy360 I put pipe thread tape on the threads. I feel like brand new they are way too loose and unscrew constantly! If you don’t swap out the head unit I would recommend taping around the shaft and handle. Just avoid going too far on the shaft for the sliding mechanism.
@countryboy3604 ай бұрын
@@BennettBuilt-yu2gw Thank you. I don’t change out the head unit. I’ll look into the pipe thread.

Reel down, pull up is the proper way to land a fish. Holding the rod still and cranking is not. That's how you crank the boat on the trailer. One of the big skills in fighting a fish is keeping constant pressure on the fish while pulling in line with the rod, and then gathering the line you gained by reeling down, all the time keeping the same pressure on the fish. If you do this, fighting a fish is a lot more fun, and your reels will last a lot longer.... my two cents. Tight lines!
