Coimbatore to Podanur Non Stop Train Journey behind a WDM3D

Watch a short uninterrupted diesel journey from Coimbatore to Podanur on board 06709 Coimbatore - Palani Passenger Special hauled by Erode WDM3A 11223 in the Summer of 2019. Indian Railways.
The six kilometer journey is on the twenty four kilometer long Irugur - Podanur section and the ALCO chugs hard smoking through Ukkadam Lake, the erstwhile Nanjundapuram Bypass and joins the direct line from Irugur just before the River Noyyal.

06709 Coimbatore - Palani Pass Special was a special service that ran between Coimbatore and Palani via Podanur, Pollachi. It later became 56609 CBE - PLNI Pass. From Palani, the train goes on to Madurai as 56709 Palani - Madurai Passenger. It is operated by the Madurai Division of Southern Railway.

I don't know why you termed it as "non stop" as no intermediate stations are available between Coimbatore to podanur

There are quite a few trains that are held up at Podanur Outer Home to obtain line clearance and to let freight trains, the likes of Mangalore Mail/Exp that take the Irugur - Podanur direct line. This might be more common during the night. Since 06709 did not face any of that, the term ‘non stop’ is used.

Passengers are run in the Coimbatore section; It is unfair and unjust to deny passenger services in Madurai Division. Railways should take immediate steps to operate the passenger trains in the Madurai division also.

No, at present there are no passenger trains running in both Coimbatore and Madurai regions just like how it is almost everywhere else. This video is from 2019 as mentioned in the description.
