What a gorgeous city, filled with building after building that are like rare treasures of design! That stone church with the arched doorways and indeed all the churches shown, were magnificant..I love how streets are closed off to traffic, making it a paradise for pedestrians. And that park WOW, just wow, so verdant, lush and alive.... The antiquity of Europe blows my mind, living all my life in Australia, we do not have such history....gorgeous video sweetie!

Really well choreographed walk , loved the way you ignored Portal de Barbaca on the first pass then casually walked up on the return. Haven´t been down for nearly 10 years and even in that time I can see the changes - and the difference since my first time in the 1980´s - I will have to sort out a week or so for a trip this year as you´ve shown me places in the old town that I had missed. Regards from the other portuguese gem - Viana do Castelo

The botanical garden is great, luxuriant and exotic, and it is so nice that it is located so close to the University complex. A great video, you managed to cover almost all of Coimbra´s old city 👍 Ps. Looking forward for the Porto videos! (I presume they will be coming 😁)

@@WatchedWalker You will love it, and make great videos there too ;-) Because you went north from Lisbon to Coimbra I thought you would finish your portuguese trip in Porto, but a single day would not be enough for Porto, whilst with the same amount of time you could cover almost all of Coimbra, the city of "students". Porto deserves a trip by itself ;-)
@KrystinaMariePrice5 жыл бұрын
@@ZEROZERO-xx3qm ... I just left Porto and find that I'd like the via de Gila side better if I was to live there ;-) Right now I'm thoroughly enjoying Aveiro because of its size and art community. @@KrystinaMariePrice Loved reading about your experiences so far in Portugal ;-) Gaia side is indeed more slow paced and has the best views of Porto. In Aveiro, and if you still have time, try visiting the beach town of Costa Nova, only a 10 min drive from the city centre. I am sure you will find the colourful striped houses very pretty :-)

And don't forget the "Uni Students Annual Party" aka "Queima das Fitas"... :-) Thanks

Commenting from Coimbra: the video nails it very, very well. I mean, we have to stop spending money and polluting the air with our airplane traveling... Just see a video like this on a big screen, and you will be just as good as walking in Coimbra. Use the money to improve your local community. Thank good for the Internet, and good videos like these. I don't want to go to NY anymore, having seen it already from so many angles, from people such as those who did this video. Kind regards from Portugal.
