Awesome finds. Just looked through my first box of nickels.1 Swiss 20 rappens, 3 Canadians, 3 '09, 1 55p, 10 50-59(not including the semi-key date), 10 40-49, 2 '39-p. Unfortunately no silver, proofs, or buffalos.

Nickels were actually made from silver in the late 1800s after Canadian independence was signed, in the early 1920s that was changed to Approx. 99.9% nickel before changing to the nickel plated (approx 2% nickel) . This means there are both pure nickel and pure silver canadian 5-cent pieces. - A random Canadian viewer to verify :)

Not to bad!! I'd love to find the 2009 D mint, even over the War Nickel or the dateless Buffalo! I've found one 2009 nickel however I've only hunted about 24,000 to 25,000 nickels but still I figured I would have found more than just one 2009 Philadelphia!! And big 0 on the 2009 dimes with about the same amount hunted!! Have a GREAT Day!!!

I watch your videos quite often and go through many nickel boxes but have yet to find 2009 dates. Yes I know 2009 is low mintage by modern standards. Find old buffalo and silver nickels but no 2009. Crazy world
