There is a car wash near me that gives change in dollar coins. The owner likes them and I think it's neat getting them.

They're a bit bigger than a quarter. My wife likes to get a handful of them and carries them in a pouch when we go to the local renaissance fair. She likes getting dressed up and pretends she has a bag of gold coins to pay for food & drink, it's fun. And no, I don't get dressed up. The mintage ID and E Pluribus Unum is on the outer rim on the presidential coins and the native American ones. You might need a loupe to read it. I prefer the Whitman folders; I have some Littleton folders and I don't like them. I've been slowly switching my coins into albums too. They take up more room, but you can see both sides of the coin. There was a 2000 P Sacagawea coin that was put in Cheerios cereal boxes that are worth a bit of money if you find one. There is more detail on the Eagle tail feathers that tell them apart. People would eventually spend them so there are quite a few in circulation.

Please keep it up. Thanks again brother for educating me on the coins. I'm still looking for a good coinage book. I don't care about the value of said coin, just something that will educate me. I'll take your guidance on the Whiton coin carriers as well. Why the dislike for Littleton? Or is it only preference? Always a pleasure speaking with you buddy. Crazy coincidence. My wife and myself will be spending sometime at a somewhat Renaissance event (Medieval Times) a birthday celebration. I'll see if I can get a coin or something from there. Yep, the Sacagewa started in 2000 to replace the Susan B Anthony dollar of 1979 to 1981 and 1999. All of these are larger than a quarter. The Sacagewa were issued from 2000 to 2008 (after 2002 not intended for circulation). The Presidential series began in 2007. The date and mint mark are on the edge lettering of those coins. The Presidential series went to 2016 (although 2011 was the last year issued as circulation pieces) up to Reagan, than returned in 2020 with George H. W. Bush. In 2009, the Sacagewa series became the Native American Series with edge lettering like on the Presidential. I don't really like albums or folders. I keep mine in the Edgar Marcus coin tubes sold in the Littleton catalog. I keep coins I want to display in the Edgar Marcus 2×2 that are the Snap Tite brand, also available from Littleton. Almost have my new filming location ready for some coin episodes to show what I store mine in.
