Donn Bhat bringing new sound! This fusion doesn't sound out of place at least. One of my favorite styles, Desert blues. Reminded me of acts like Tinariwen, with rustic vocals, constant percussive beat and guitar sections. This would be the "Thar Blues".

The rap in this melody (different than traditional hiphop beats) was new to me and I enjoyed the modern and young vocals of Prabhdeep and Rashmeet. The music had a chill vibe and was based on traditional sound and verses from Bullleh Shah. While some may find the sound unfamiliar and displeasing, this is exactly what Coke Studio aims to achieve, to deliver new and unfamiliar sounds. I am loving this season of Coke Studio India where they are bringing so many of these new non-mainstream artists who need visibility.

@@cokestudioindia While the song was great, I'm disappointed to realize that these tracks were pre-recorded separately in studio, and the artists were just lip-syncing....post-production is fine, but if it is pre-recorded, Coke Studio has lost it's soul. Also, waiting so long to release new tracks is hurting you....if you're waiting for anticipation to build, it's not working....you're just killing any momentum around the season, especially when the first few tracks are failing to impress.

Wonderful. This is peak of the fusion. A lovely combo of Sindhi and Punjabi remix of two of the subcontinent's best ever Sufi poets. This song is a lesson on fate and fortune and how loves leads to the jogi trails. I wish coke studio Pakistan could come up with this standard of poetry and melodies fusion where heart beats with guitar and every bit feels like a divine verse to dip deep into the whirlpool of the mystic thoughts. Love.
