I am lucky to understand Urdu, Punjabi and Sindhi languages. The real essence cannot be captured by translation esp, the language used by Shah Latif Bhittai in his Rasalo. Finally something that befits the level of Coke Studio.. behtareen... the only song from this season after Shikwa Jawab e Shikwa that’s gonna end up in my playlist... love the folk vibes, and especially the folk singer with the ektara type instrument and khartaal.. he has terrific vocal range. Also the flute at the beginning and in the end just melted my heart. At places, this composition sounds so similar to Bengali folk music (especially the flute parts), which is also very close to my heart. Love from Canada!

Always wondered why there aren't many sindhi coke studio masterpieces even tho sindhi always had lovely poetry. May be we get to see sindhi songs frequently in coke studio from now on. Shah sahab has alone given us so many Kalams that there could be a sindhi coke studio kalam in every season in many coming years, besides there are so many other sufis. Saif have sung this one beautifully, Makes me feel proud of my existence , my heritage. Hope there will be many more kalams in future.

The love of Momal and Rano is an allegorical metaphor for the love of the soul and divine. The separation and longing between two lovers parallels the separation of the Divine and the human soul and longing of both the divine and the human soul to merge and dissolve into each other much like Momal and Rano were unified in the burning fire. The human soul, ruh, longs for Allah and in absolute overpowering self abnegating devotion cares nothing for the world or society and seeks union with divinity in the crazed love experienced by Sufis.

Only for this Man, he always sang with heart. And that muskiness in his voice is so deep and fascinating, with such season going on, his voice could alone lift the episode 4, and I am right in so, whole season.
