Thank you for reacting to this. This was written by dr Alama Muhammad Iqbal (the poet of the east). He wrote this as his form of a complaint to Allah swt when the Muslims of the subcontinent were facing extreme hardships and there seemed to be no hope. This piece of his writing was called shikwa meaning complaint. Controversies started and ulema of that age thought that Iqbal was being ungrateful to Allah. Iqbal wrote jawab e shikwa meaning response to the complaint after these controversies just to explain in his words how Allah swt would respond to a sinful man's cries. After that Allah swt blessed the subcontinent and Muhammad ali Jinnah became the voice of the Muslims of United India, and after many struggles and many losses Pakistan came into being by the combined efforts of iqbal, jinnah, and many many others and obviously the will of Allah swt. Pakistan was the first country to gain independence on the basis religious ideology

It's so obvious from the lines that the intent of the complainant is pure about a desperate person seeking answers and help from God, we are not the level of Prophet SAW who said during extreme sorrow, "we only say what pleases God," we the flawed humans and of course we slip and think this way during tragedies , showing the whole response as well, you (not you but those who took offense) have to really suck at reading comprehension or artistic understanding and a very poor grasp of the Deen or its stance on sinfulness, and God's love of forgiveness, to see it as legit blasphemy.

Fun fact, When Shikwa was published in 1909, it garnered severe criticism from Islamic clerics and Scholars of that time.They comprehended it as dishonor towards Almighty and Allama Iqbal was called ungrateful and disloyal and they even passed fatwa on him by saying that he has become a Murtad. However, when Allama Iqbal published Jawab-e-Shikwa as an answer from God to the complaint, he was honored for his work.

It was written during colonial times when Muslims of this region were facing persecution of British & they were slaves to British and they were deprived of their basic rights in their homeland After all these poetry of Iqbal Muslims got the courage to fight for the freedom & separate homeland for Muslims then we got independence 🇵🇰❤

Its not nasheed, but its a greatest poetry of Subcontinent "Allama Iqbal" For muslims of subcontinent when muslims were on their downfall and not hopeful. His one poetry Shikwa = complaint ( he describe the complaint of muslims towarda Allah) Jawab e Shikwa = Answer of Complaint ( He described answere from Allah)

Thanks for making reaction to this video as its my personal favourite ❤️ This is a masterpiece written by Allama Iqbal for the Muslims of subcontinent ( Pakistan 🇵🇰 Bangladesh 🇧🇩 & India ) when they were facing a very difficult time so it consist of 2 phases in first one it’s complaint from Muslims and then the reply to that complaint Allama Iqbal’s poetry is relevant to all Muslims especially till today we love him as he is our National poet 🇵🇰 the poet of Pakistan 🇵🇰

Re idols its not just inanimate objects like it says, we still do idolatry without realizing or caring. Yasir Qadhi gave a detailed lecture about the idols of jahiliyyah times in Arabia, and they all began by over praising good people after their deaths , they began worshipping saintly people and lost track of the point, those are the idols God talks about in Quran to them, and i find ir striking bcuz in Desi culture we slipped into the same tendency of overpraising saintly people to the point of Shirk. Some of the statements we make in our culture in songs or poetry are hilarious to me bcuz they stray so far from deen and the ppl they are talking about would find those actions or lines disdainful and absolutely put a stop to it themselves

I like your reaction when she said I have complaint or grievance with my creator you’re like what is she saying 😂 Actually the poet himself faced a little problem for this first part but towards the end is the solution to the problem of people of that time His love for Allah & prophet ( pbuh ) reflects in his poetry Don’t worry

Always agree with you re these, they use wayy too many instruments, it takes away from the whole. I have no idea why . The rohail hyatt version of Coke studio still was reasonable but these later productions show no restraint or taste. It works but it would have worked BETTER without THAT much my goodness
