Coke Train Slams Railroad Diamonds, 6 Track RR Crossing, BIG Auto Rack Train W/DPU In Greenwich Ohio

6 Track Railroad Crossing At Railroad Diamonds! CSX Trains Blast The Railroad Diamonds & BIG Auto Racks Train With Mid Train Locomotive Working Hard On Tight Curve. 6 Trains In Greenwich, Ohio. Mixed Freight Trains, Intermodal Trains, Grain Train, Auto Racks Train With DPU & Grain Train.
Some of the trains are fast and some of them only go about 20 mph. It depends on which line they are on. There are 3 different CSX lines that come together here and Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad uses the tracks. This video is all CSX but my next one from here will have a Wheeling & Lake Erie freight train. There are two railroad diamonds and some old New York Central Railroad line side signals that are still in use. Check out the interesting railroad crossing. It has 6 tracks with two sets of 3. The outer gates activate for all the tracks and the inner gates activate only for the closest group of tracks. See the video for more detail. This is my second video from here and I will have one more after this one. There are several different frequencies to use here. I only listened to a few of them including 160.230 which is the best one. It is good for defect detectors that are nearby. I also used 452.9375 for the End Of Train Device. I rode up here with Scott, 1960gambit. You will see him in the video. I also want to wish a late happy birthday to Nadine of South Africa. Her birthday was the day before I got here. JT...you capture Ohio railroading in its finest, and this "episode" is a perfect example. That autorack train coming thru that sweeping curve @9:33 was awesome...I caught an absolutely beautiful screenshot of an SP "speed-lettered" autorack (on that train) @11:25. In the slide show, the leading shot of that train was "spot-on"...so many great "stills" can be grabbed from this video. Great job... 👌👌👍👍

While it may not have the curves and buildings that Marion provides it certainly does crank out the trains. Again the variety of unit trains with every commodity under the sun. I wonder if the Grain Train was making a trip to Arden Mills in Massachusetts as they get one or two per month for making flour and that is a fairly long journey. Norfie Is now performing for American Gladiator cage matches while good old natured Brandy endures Lokie using her as a cushion. As always you capture the action live from Green Shirt OH

If that first train was on its way to Columbus, Ohio, it is more than likely that it is CSX train #M635. That train originates in Selkirk, New York and terminates at Columbus, Ohio. The train runs via the Columbus Subdivision and works the yard at Fostoria, Ohio. The high-side gondola cars are loaded with garbage from New York City. Our friend Wide World of Trains sees this train as it travels through the Dunkirk, New York area. The counterpart of this train is CSX train #M634 which runs with empty garbage gondolas and other cars from Columbus, Ohio to Selkirk, New York. Separate trains bring cars of loaded garbage from New York City to Selkirk or take empty garbage cars back to New York City to be reloaded with garbage. Thank you for this additional video of your trip to Greenwich, Ohio. There definitely is a lot of action at this location.

Other than the wind, which I am sure was at least annoying to you, I hope everything else went okay. So often we hear of Greenwich Mean Time that I worried that you, too, might have experienced mean times there as well. On a lighter, more refreshing note, I prefer the Pepsi trains to that of the Coke trains. But, that's probably not too important to you, any of your other viewers, or to the world in general. I, however, continue being a card-carrying, loyal member of the Pepsi Generation, despite the overwhelming presence and market share Coke has here in México. Keep up the eclectic videos, Señor Jaws. Your interest in diamonds being just one example. Although, the gathering of diamonds is shameful in the South African countries involved. Well, enough of all that. Howdy JT! Call me crazy, but I think I saw that first CSX train come through Tiffin lol. It was the right line I'm pretty sure. Those weren't scrap cars, they were trash/garbage cars. Could very well have been going to a huge landfill facility called Sunny Farms south of Fostoria, Ohio. They receive a lot of garbage via rail from NJ & NY. Sunny Farms Landfill is right at the intersection of US 224 and US 23 in Seneca County, near the border with Hancock County. If you look closely on those empty autorack cars, they say 'Return for Refill'... 😁 Thanks for sharing 🤠

Thanks for coming and checking out Greenwich! (Pronounced Green Witch) I regularly catch trains all over town and in the close by town of Willard, Ohio. Not to many people know where Greenwich is, they will say… where’s that? Actually there has been about 3 accidents on this very diamond, 1950s, 2012, and just recently in January of 2023, just an interesting fact. Thanks for coming by and checking out some cool trains!

Interesting to see how Greenwich has changed over the years. The North South line is the ex NYC (Big Four line). I’m old enough to remember riding NYC passenger train from Indianapolis to Cleveland at 79 MPH on double track. The East West line is the ex B&O. What I found interesting was there was another B&O tower a mile west for the ACY/B&O xing (pix on my web site). Jaw Tooth said that WLE also used the line. In the old days the ACY crossed the NYC at Hiles (10 mile north - pix on NYC & ACY pages) and maintained a separate line just west of the NYC (now the ACY trail). The last time I was there (under CR) the line south was in bad shape. CSX has made improvement on this line which runs to Galion then west through Marion.
