I can Hear Lil Mo's writing and singing style all over the first two songs. Lil Mo was a reference singer for many R&B singers! Until Put It On Me made her famous and Hot Boyz. Lil Mo is underrated as a song writer and reference singer (vocal producer).

She did a Lil Mo run at the end of “Gotta Hold Over Me (Easy Lover)”. The song sounds so similar to Mo’s “First Time”. 🔥

Coko also recorded her own version of starting with you by Deborah cox for her sophomore unreleased album Music Doll

Some of these tracks were from other projects. Like Easy Lover and Tears In Heaven. However most wanted is what would have been the lead track "Amazin Luv" of Music Doll by the Neptunes and the duet "One Woman, One Man" too!
@bos77Ай бұрын
I hear that the duet with Dave Hollister was supposed to dominate the R&B charts, but RCA pulled the plug. such a dissapointment
@waterbearer4627Ай бұрын
@@bos77 this is true, we really lost out on some great tracks from Coko all because RCA dissolved their RnB department. Tim and Bob have 5 tracks from her debut album too that were completed by rejected.

Neat upload! Also, for those that don’t know, a song called “Amazing” was supposed to be included as well, but it has never surfaced. If you listen to LL Cool J’s “Amazin’”, you can still hear her vocals blended into the background of the chorus.

The snippet of 'Let Him Go' doesn't sound like a 2001 production; it sounds more like something from 2008/2009

Cokos voice is sent from heaven but this material is plain AWFUL. I can't even see this album doing well in 2001. This album wouldn't stand a chance against Usher, "8701", Destiny's Child, "Survivor" or Aaliyah, "Aaliyah". The record label knew this album would flop so that's why didn't release it. This an example that you can have an amazing material but if you have terrible management, terrible material and a terrible label, this is the last result. Maybe it's good that she switched to Gospel....

💯 📠 this was defo not what I expected from her. But Coke is not business minded. I'm sure she had bad management and direction of this was not up to par as u stated. She's not even singing like herself. Her first solo album Hot Coko with "Sunshine" wasn't that great either.
