He said those who came to do the killing sing Nsogbu-Nzogbu came from Owerri and Aba (Not Ikwerres); how come it became OKIDOKI and the people around that were killing their Hausa friends? His testimony sounded much more like cooked up stories and lies! One thing again he did was tactfully exhorting Ikwerre from the act and doing everything to pin it on Owerri and Aba people! THIS AGAIN WAS A DIVISIVE STRATEGY!

Remember that as at the time this evil was perpetrated, Yakubu Gowon is the military Head of State. So this was a sort of reprisal for the attack on the Igbos during the northern counter attack on which children and pregnant women were murdered alive and uterus open wide. This testimony also contains numerous loopholes

The hausa people killed over 500,000 Igbos in the north. The igbos ONLY killed in reprisals. Which was not even UP TO 5% of the igbos killed in the north. So it was a break down of law and order . It was a dark time in the history of Nigeria. I was opportuned to read justice GCM Onyiuke's report on the inquiry about the killings .
