I still like Cosby's work even if he, the person, is a huge sick disappointment. He was the guest speaker at my college graduation. The first commencement address he ever did. He was great and made thousands graduating bearable.... but now it's tarnished which makes me sad. The next year's speaker was Mr. Roger's... I may just have to lie about the year I graduated and claim him! 😂

That's why I raised my kids on good SF and fantasy fiction by authors like Terry Pratchett, JK Rowling, Charles de Lint (yes, he has a few stories suitable for kids), Lois McMaster Bujold and Tanya Huff. Lots of good role models. Not perfect, but good.

I’ve been born and raised in Jamestown, and when he asked what we’re known for I got so nervous 😂 Generally we’re not known for many good things, our town is struggling with the opioid epidemic and crime rates rising. They built the comedy center to hopefully help. Lucyfest is one of our biggest times if the year, although she was technically born in Celeron, NY and moved to Jamestown within the first few years of her life. Ever heard of that ugly Lucy statue? It’s in Celeron in Lucille Ball Memorial Park, along with the updated version that is absolutely beautiful. Hopefully the comedy center will bring great things to this town, god knows we need the help ❤️

I love Lewis Black. He says what a lot of us are thinking but wouldn't dare ever say. He's a lot like the great George Carlin who I miss and loved. We've lost some great comedians. We've lost to many really great comedians Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Robin Williams, Red Foxx, John Belushi, Bernie Mac, Chris Farley, Andy Kaufman, Phil Hartman, Gilda Radner, John Candy, Garry Shandling, Lenny Bruce, Andy Kaufman, Bill Hicks, Mitch Hedberg, Greg Giraldo, Rodney Dangerfield, Freddie Prinze, Sam Kinison, Patrice O'Neal & Robert Schimmel. Some were more famous & more well know. They were more successful. They all had their own style of humor & way of communicating with their audience. Some people enjoyed some more than others and a few were disliked by some people for their off brand, cussing or what's was considered vile content. One thing they all have us was a chance to laugh & forget about our problems for a little while. We need more like them & a lot more laughter. RIP to them all!
