Everybody is important. Everybody has his role. Without art, society is dead. It is true that there is an artist worship that sometimes is too much in detriment of others, but lets not overcompensate by making the same mistake with a different name. Of course this is what happens when one of the fundamental pillars of culture is treated like just entertainment.

@@Dacre1000 believe me I agree art is important, I myself am a musician and an artist. But I have humility enough to understand that in matters of life and death, other professions and skills have precedence. Doesn’t mean art is useless, just that we give credit where it is due. Too often in our society we praise artists (that part is ok) and we forget so many other people with a lower profile who are so essential to our lives. I feel like the pandemic reminded us of that a little bit.

I don't know if it was rude for Stephen to point out the age difference between Andrew and his brother based on physical appearance, but he did address probably what was all on our minds. Andrew then took, what felt like an embarrassing moment for the dude, and turns it into standing ovation praise from everyone in the studio for his brother and his work. I don't want to call it improv or a performance, but whatever that was, that was the best I've ever seen. It just shows how quick Andrew is and how much he loves his brother, bravo!

Not going to lie, I got a little choked up when Andrew gave such a lovely shout out to the work his older brother does as a pulmonary doctor. My older brother works in infectious diseases and has also been waist deep in saving lives these last few years, so that really pulled at my heart strings. Thank you, Andrew, for reminding us all of who and what is really important.

I like that while Andrew initially hesitated in the greeting part, like, "Are we hugging? ...Do I hug you?", when Stephen took the lead and embraced him Andrew gave him a _real_ , proper, tight hug back - none of this nonsense, 3-seconds-from-reach-to-release-&-then-pat-pat Man Hug[tm] business. I respect that.

Because being masculinely masculine would mean that you're not friendly and approachable? explain your momo. I think it's rather possible that you weren't implying that and you just worded it that way but still, i'm curious
@terryqokov6999
@terryqokov6999 3 жыл бұрын
@@misterryuzaki322 I was not implying that. Interesting you thought that, I didn't even think of it that way. The first part doesn't negate the other. When I say 'masculinely feminine', I'm basically saying he confidently pulls off behaving in ways that would be considered feminine but in a way that gives off masculine vibes at the same time. Ya know?

It's ironic cause as someone who's knows alot about hairloss I can clearly see Colbert himself has considerable recession. He definitely has his hair/makeup team put it all together before shows (toppik, hairspray, styling, etc.) and probably has had a transplant like many celebrities. Such a low shot as someone who is going though it myself it's always weird to hear people joke at it like its not something that's been extremely difficult to deal with especially since I'm young. It's especially weird since he has hairloss he should know how that feels. He would go through every effort to keep his hair if it "didn't matter" so he obviously cares
