At 12 he introduced me to boxing and martial arts because his dad owned a martial arts gym in our city. You couldn’t separate us from 11-19 years old. Watching all the old footage of Colby and Jorge is actually pretty sad that their friendship dissolved into this hateful beef. I don’t know if Colby really cheated his trainer out of money but the fact that Jorge let him live in his house and brought him up from nothing to something reveals who is the true asshole. Jorge was a household name well before Colby even started fighting for true MMA fans, it’s pretty evident that Colby did Jorge dirty as he should be grateful for all that Jorge did for him to this day. It’s sad because almost every person has had this happen to them where you give the shirt of your back to help someone you thought was a true friend just to find out when it’s too late that they were only acting like a friend because they got something out of you that benefited them and the worst part is that they are the last person to do a single thing to help you when you need it most even though you didn’t expect it, the fact that they are nowhere to be seen when you woulda done anything to help him/her regardless of if they asked or not just because you could and cared for them enough to do so. Even worse this relationship is at a point of no return as what Colby did is irreparable damage. A man gave you the keys to his home scot free yet you turn on him to what their beef is like now, there’s absolutely no way Jorge would ever forgive him.
