Also, have your wheel trued every 6 hard rides. or learn to do it yourself so you don't tweak your rim. A wheel trueing stand is only $50 on eBay. Buying a spoke torque wrench adapter will keep everything mint and won't loosen as often.

The psychology of riders like this is just as impressive as what he/they are doing on a bike. There's still a process, no matter how good a rider they are. I don't use "crazy" or "insane". Calculated is probably the best to describe them. And smart too, in this instance - checkin those spokes!! There's really only a handful of guys over the years breaking into the 200+ distances. Congrats for etching your name on that list. \m/ (I always wonder what kind of 'in flight' meals they pack...seems like they have the time up there.)

@@-Tokay- one of my best buddies, who was FREAKY fast by the way, went to put around the track to check for puddles. As i was strapping up my boots i tried to hand him his helmet, he said he was just gonna stay in 1st gear. Grown man right? 10 mins goes by, 15, 20, fuck it imma go pound some laps right? Corner 5 before the big rythm section is where i found him. Face down, non responsive. That track is baby powder on top of cement during the week. He must not have been paying attention because it looked his front wheel went over a rock about the size of a softball, washed out, he smacked his head. He couldn't remember who his mom was bro. Im not a crying man, but that did it. When his mom told me that i couldn't help but to get emotional. Hes all messed up to this day. Has to wear a helmet everywhere he goes, i know, grossly ironic.

@@kelevra558 Aaaaah man 🤦♂️ I'm sorry. This reminds me of my Dad telling me to ALWAYS wear my hee were helmet NO MATTER how slow I plan to ride. And he clipped his handle bar on the edge of the building fell into it hitting us skull on a outcropping corner and it killed him. 😑 I never forgot that.
