Cold Brewing Black Tea

Max Falkowitz wrote that cold brew works well only for lighter teas though I think he is somewhat wrong on that one - some blacks do great on the cold brew - I left them in the fridge (left over from the pot) and lapsang souchong, darjeeling, and even earl gray do well on it although Im not sure about breakfast teas. The smoother blacks like Ceylons do quite well on it

You can always try! If you do, I'd make sure to use boiling water to try to push the flavour out of the leaves, as we already pulled the flavour out with cold steeping. Let me know how it goes!
