Күн бұрын

Our search takes us deep into Launceston, Tasmania, where we believe Nicola Sallese might have ended up because this is where his late wife, Jill's, grave is located. Nicola, having been diagnosed with dementia, had reportedly shown deteriorating driving skills with recent accidents including hitting a car in a post office and a guardrail.
In this episode, join Dan from Downunder Search and Recovery and Bill McIntosh as they embark on a quest to solve a cold case that has bewildered Australia for nearly 12 years. Our mission is to uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of Nicola Sallese, a Sheffield man last seen driving through Sheffield in his 2006 Toyota Camry in November 17, 2008. His disappearance continues to be a traumatic mystery for his family and friends.

We're scanning each water body in the town, investigating possible targets that could be a submerged vehicle. As civilian divers, we're offering our services free of charge, hoping to bring closure to families like Nicola's who have almost given up.
Our journey led us to a pile of vehicles dumped in the water, a common practice years ago, but no trace of Nicola's car. With our sonar equipment, we systematically scan the depths of Lake Trevallyn Boat Ramp, which is part of the Hydro Tasmania group where Nicola worked as a hydro dam electric specialist.
As we expand our search parameters, we're resolved to clear each body of water in Launceston, starting from the cemetery and working our way out. We aim to clear ten bodies of water today, ensuring we've left no stone unturned.
Follow us as we leave no depth unexplored, in our relentless pursuit to solve the disappearance of Nicola Sallese. Witness the dedication and determination of our team in solving this cold case and bringing a sense of closure to Nicola's family.

This is going to sound very trivial, but I do miss the intro music that you used to have. It was more emotional and pulled at heart strings. I would get chills when I heard it. It would just draw me in. I started watching because of that music! I was also touched by what you were doing to help these families when sources were becoming exhausted. Amazing job Adventures with Purpose does!

We're in "another town in Tasmania" 😂 poor Deloraine. I was there for about 10 years or so. I saw so many burned out cars in bushland after the fires, probably 100+ cars. I know you guys go water searches but another possibility is that he had a medical episode and crashed into bushland and the car was subsequently destroyed by bushfire, maybe even years later.

No, we don’t have alligators in Australia. We have fresh water and salt water crocodiles, but only in the north, North Queensland, North of the Northern Territory and North Western Australia. Tasmania is far South :)

Hi, I’m watching and just a thought have you cleared corralyn, near bridge further south there are areas where cars have left the roads due to slippery conditions, -blessington road, there are so many areas in Tasmania, My father was skin merchant and we travelled, all those backroads, when it comes to a sedan , leaving the road, even the link roads between numanara and blessington lots of small areas, with hazardous bridges , but a two wheel drive could manage,i know with my grandmother, it was like her memory was rewinding, it was a case of how far, and if she was trying to cover it up, then becoming confused. frustrated, then aggressive so hard, Rip. I hope he is found soon.
