I love the entire video. Only thing is the final product does look like Clay.

Thanks for watching. In person you can see the metallic appearance of the piece. Is there anything you would like to see Milo mold next?

@@smoothon thanks so much for your response. I’m a new customer and I will be using many of your products. I’m specifically looking for a video for a foam to make doll heads (about the size two fists) and hands. I’m looking to make some horror dolls and I want a nice firm foam that’s durable to make the heads and will take some outdoor acrylic paint. I see there’s a urethane expanding foam video. That’s coming up in a few days. Anxiously awaiting it.

I like your tutorials , btw i see other people pre powder their molds with the powders.Then they use iron whool to bring up the metallic effect but they say that if you rub to hard you reveal the epoxy. You didnt do that, is there any difference in the end results? Thx in advance.

Yes, making a gel coat allows for a more durable surface, less likely to have the metal scratched off.

Ok, hear me out. lol! I have a kind of crazy idea. I want to mold and cast a cluster of wine grapes. What do you think would be the best way to do that for a realistic look. Please don’t say do them individually 😂😂
@smoothon9 күн бұрын
For molding and casting a cluster of wine grapes, you can consider using a flexible silicone mold to capture the details effectively. It's important to ensure the grapes are securely positioned in the mold to maintain their cluster shape. For specific guidance and product recommendations, please contact Smooth-On Technical Support at [www.smooth-on.com/support/].

How many times can you use the mold? And will you sell me a cast skull, lol.
@smoothon Жыл бұрын
This would depend on the material being cast.

Thanks for the video, does the casted piece mimic any "metal feel" as in cool to the touch? Or is it just a visual metal appearence? Thanks again.
@smoothon2 жыл бұрын
It feels more like metal than resin on it's own, but it is mainly a visual appearance of cast metal.
