Totally correct ! In addition, Cold Cave covered the Joy Division song "Isolation" with Mark Lanegan who himself performed "Disorder" with Peter Hook & The Light. The influences of these two JD + NO legendary bands are therefore undeniable.

I'm glad someone out there flagged this as an intentional homage. This song just popped up on my Spotify for the first time today and I instantly Googled "Cold Cave Night Light New Order Temptation" because it was such an obvious connection. I was even able to sing Temptation over the Cold Cave version and the verse/chorus changes were spot on.

Hacía mucho tiempo que no teníamos noticias de esta banda, Wesley Eisold dijo que no iba a sacar más álbumes bajo el nombre de Cold Cave y parecía que la cosa iba en serio, ya que en 2018 editó disco con American Nightmare, la seminal banda de hardcore de la que también es miembro. Sin embargo, por sorpresa lanza "Fate in Seven Lessons" el tercer trabajo de Cold Cave. Nada que reprochar, sí quizá que haya necesitado una década en completar este EP, de apenas media hora de duración. Siete canciones dedicadas al amor que ha escrito junto a Amy Lee, su pareja y compañera de banda, con la que comparte la crianza de su vástago que ahora cumple seis años. Pero que nadie espere que ese sentimiento modifique su estilo musical o que se haya vuelto más ñoño, Cold Cave siguen siendo los de siempre, con toda su aspereza y su oscuridad. "Fate in Seven Lessons" revitaliza su querida estética siniestra con un pie en los ochenta, desde esa portada con una pintura de flores que evoca una versión tenebrosa y misteriosa de “Power, Corruption & Lies”. Y con canciones de pop electrónico como “Night Light” que evocan a los New Order. Wesley Eisold se califica como un rebelde que ha sufrido depresión toda su vida y a pesar de ello es capaz de dedicarle un disco al amor, aunque lo hace, como no podía ser de otro modo, vestido de cuero y con gafas oscuras, esa estética que recuerda a los Sisters of Mercy, no solo en la imagen sino también en el sonido.
