Saw them in Dallas when they first came to the USA. They were opening for Joe Walsh and Stevie Nicks. Blew me and those two away. ❤❤❤

Been waiting so long to see this. Loved it. Still tear up to Chisel songs and the day Steve died I moved to the US from Europe and played Chisel for 8 hours on the plane crying inside. It’s the music of my life and my god is Mossy

Cold Chisel, like the Angels, AcDc, Rose Tattoo or Midnight oil are all classic Ausie pub bands. We will never see there likes again. And I lament the loss.

Same.. it's the same how I look at what Australia is becoming now as well. Talk about lamenting

I’m a Brisbane girl who has moved to Adelaide and I’m amazed to discover that not only did Jimmy Barnes grow up in Elizabeth, Adelaide, so did Doc Neeson from the Angels. Also, Bon Scott first auditioned for AC/DC in a pub about 10 minutes from Elizabeth. ALSO…Glenn Shorrock from the Little River Band also lived in Elizabeth when he was young. Amazed how this area produced so many of Australia’s rock legends!

@@rubyredjeans Bon Scott is a Perth boy ..Fremantle actually. He did live in Adelaide for a couple of years tho

Why? Do you think there aren't still bands out there, working theirs off to make something like what these bands had? Will you really not "see their like again"; or are you just refusing to, even tho' you could?

@dsnodgrass4843 well if they are ,it's not working. They're all sh.. 🤣

I saw Chisel 3 times twice in 82' then once again in 2012. When I saw them in 1982 they were touring to launch 'Circus Animals' - they blew my mind because live there was nothing like them. Love East (soundtrack of my summer in 1980) Circus Animals and Twentieth Century. Chisel are a national treasure!

I saw that tour too! Right up front with Jimmys sweat falling on me in the front row. It was literally life changing for me!

I first heard Chisel at a mates place in Harris Park /parramatta,Sydney,He had "she's 13 ,she's beautiful and she's mine"I think one long day and wild thing were my favourites.,saw them live any time they played in western Syd,I would front up as often as I could. We loved Jim coz we were westies and loved to drink,he was the divintive rock frontman I always tell ppl now Chisel gave 110% Encore after encore I'm glad I saw them and ACDC in the early years growing up in Villawood we also had the easybeats come out of the migrant hostel Stevie Rights Mum lived across the road from my parents Was a great time to be a teenager

I am a big fan of Jimmy. The first solo album I bought was Freight Train Heart, and I loved it. Later on I bought some of the Chisel record and Jimmy's other solo records, but they were (and are) not very available in The Netherlands. Jimmy performed at Park Pop in The Netherlands on Sunday 21 August 1994. A friend and I were at the front row, but a rather short Indonesian woman asked me if she could stand in front of me. I sort of shielded her by holding the fence because there were some other fans that got a bit rowdy. At some point, Jimmy took a break, and because it was unexpectedly warm, he got off stage and started handing out cups of water to the audience. What a guy!!! At the same time, the Indonesian woman jumped over the fence, trying to give Jimmy a hug, but security got to her. Jimmy signaled to security it was OK, and he hugged her. After that, security took her away. Again, what a guy! M\y good friend and I had a very good day because Steve Lukather (Toto's guitarist) performed later that day with his own band. Some memories do not fade 🙂

They should have cracked the US market .they were/are that good ..
@democlips18 күн бұрын
They tried, but they were just too wild. The US market didn’t know what to make of them. That’s reportedly where the song “You Got Nothing I Want” comes from
