There are different types of gypsies. The Roma are usually who we think about first. Many of them are people of color. However, some countries like the UK and Ireland have travellers who consider who are mostly White. Traditionally the Roma are very modest and conservative and keep to themselves. I feel that few TV shows (on TLC, but from a British company) focus the lives of more traditional Roma. They focus on flaboyant, over the top, sterotyical, and scantily clad families. It's a shame.
