Renée Zellweger as Ruby Thewes in Cold Mountain (2003) "Every piece of this is man's bullshit. They call this war a cloud over the land, but they made the weather and then they stand in the rain and say, "Shit, it's rainin'!"

What women have screamed ever single war since time immemorial as our husbands, sons, fathers, brothers, friends die and leave us.

That's a rather selfish attitude to have about the ones who protect you from threats

@@the98themperoroftheholybri33well this is man’s BS. There wouldn’t be much need for protection if the men among you stop coming up with all this BS.

@@the98themperoroftheholybri33 mighty selfish it was for certain groups of people to not allow woman to conscript in the first place.

This morning online I saw Arabs laughing at Jewish grief, pretending to be innocent. And I saw Jews laughing at Arab grief, pretending to be innocent. And I saw my own American ruling class laughing at some poor Russian conscript trying not to be blown to pieces by a drone. ... and was just heartsick and disgusted over everything, and remembered this cry to the heavens. And it never changes, and that's catastrophic, and I'm tired of people killing each other and laughing about it. :( Thank you for posting this video. God help us all.

What does it mean if she steals the tear from a crocodile
@jamesstewart1033 Жыл бұрын
Look up crocodile tears.
@ericthegeneric1611 Жыл бұрын
@@jamesstewart1033 I did, but I mean the way she said it confused me. Crocodile tears are because they cry when they eat and devour their food lol. She said it in a way that she would steal one from a crocodile 🐊.
@jacobhammock3355 Жыл бұрын
Because crocodile tears are involuntary. The crocodile cant "hunker down" and not cry. So her saying it in this context is a way of saying that if there is any way she can avoid shedding a tear for this man she will and any she does shed are involuntary.
@jamesstewart1033 Жыл бұрын
@@jacobhammock3355 - The term 'crocodile tears' refers to fake tears. Someone sheds crocodile tears is merely pretending to be sad or upset about something. From the web: Crocodile tears, or superficial sympathy, is a false, insincere display of emotion such as a hypocrite crying fake tears of grief. "They weep crocodile tears for the poor and disadvantaged, but are basically happy with things as they are."

@@jamesstewart1033 Well okay I dont guess I understand your point? Are you saying that Renee is describing her characters tears as being those of a crocodile because she doesnt care about her father?
