First on the stage tonight are local rising stars Violet. It’s not difficult to see why they are creating waves in the local music scene. A mix of 90’s Brit-pop added to a hint of California stoner-rock collides with a classic UK indie sound. Laconic, easy vocals fuse with dreamscape guitars in catchy tunes with enough attitude and swagger to make a palatable delivery that will make even the most jaded audience member perk up their lug-holes.
This is a band going places so expect a lot more from these young guys.
