We were better organized then than we are now. Colors and names on weather now,treating people like children and deliberate scare mongering . Back then people just got on with it

There wasn't a compensation culture then. That's why we have so many warnings now.

Four or five inches of snow in 1985 as opposed to 8 or 9 inches this winter, of course people just "got on with it" back then because it wasn't as bad. This year there were electricity blackouts and many people snowed in to their houses for several days. I suppose it's because Dublin hasn't been hit as badly that you think it's not happening at all?
