All the scenes where everything reminds the dog of it's owner reminds me of a quote from "The little Prince," where a fox tells the prince, " The wheat fields have nothing to say to me. And that is sad. But you have hair that is the colour of gold. Think how wonderful that will be when you have tamed me! The grain, which is also golden, will bring me back the thought of you. And I shall love to listen to the wind in the wheat..." Such an amazing and wholesome animation, I loved it sm!

AAAH THIS IS SO CUTE. i love the part where the dog gets out of the pool and shakes off the water, i have to replay that every time i watch this. im also obsessed with him wiping off his feet before he goes inside the store. it’s such a small detail but i love it sm!

this is so adorable! the animation is fluid, unique, bouncy, and entertaining! transitions are smooth and story is sentimental and sweet but has that wacky element that comes with it being told from a dog's perspective. honestly quite masterful in the way this is all portrayed!!! awesome work

How long did it take you to animate this? After Effects only or in Animate?

hi sorry ignore this but i get the feeling of a deeper message stemming off of people pleasing tendencies and wanting to be recognized for those efforts. or maybe i'm just looking too far into this.

You are not looking too deeply. That is exactly the authenticity of what I was trying to express. I wanted to create the feeling that these two independent souls are tangled up with each other despite all the efforts and sadness of the dog. This is why, in the end, the dog is not smiling in the owner's bag. Personally, I don't think it's a happy ending.

@@HuayiYu oh my gosh i doesn't expect a response! but yes, when i watched it, the end felt really bittersweet and unresolved. like a friendship that used to be a happy, but now with unbalanced dynamics of power by unintentional means. it's why the dog cries whenever they see the human.

this animation style in particular with the morphing and the forced fish eye perspective and the stretching to get from one point in the environment to the other.... i love it a lot!
