Cold starting a John Deere 4200 diesel thanks to AMSOIL we have no issues!

Your 4200 does not have glow plugs but has a heater in the intake manifold. If you push in on the key in the on position you should have a light glowing in the dash. If you push the key in long enough and the manifold heater is working it should get warm to the touch.

Thanks I had no idea since I don’t have a book or anything with this tractor. It starts right up I don’t see a light on the dash but a bulb could be out.
