this knife has been my front pocket daily carry for last 5 or so years. just added an ULTII clip to sheath and removed the nylon dangler part it cam with. it rides very nicely and just a t-shirt pretty much conceals it.

That sheath looks great. I made a leather sheath for mine and a buddy who makes custom holsters made me a Kydex one. The knife is a beast, a solid workhorse.

I actually had this fixed blade before in 3v. I thought I would love it I had it for a really good deal and when I had it it was just a little uncomfortable in my hand I wear a size large glove. And I mean you're locked in but there was something about it that was just uncomfortable It was digging into me. Mine didn't have a coating on it It had just a stonewash. I loved the look of it I just couldn't connect with it and I had to return it. And it sucks because I thought it'd be an awesome field or camp knife or even something to put on my plate carrier or battle belt setup. I just couldn't fall in love with it like I thought I was going to. Probably a great knife just not for me. I might try it again another day

Makes total sense. I think it just fit my hands really well to be honest. The flat scales make it perfect for your plate carrier idea too. There are plenty fish in the sea though, so I’m sure you’ll find what suits you best. Thanks for watching the channel!

I got the folder when I just started my worlds largest budget knife collection😂. Like you I had a meh opinion. I got it started using it. Boy oh boy it's a great knife. I actually did not know they had a fixed blade version. Daddy Want!

Should be a DLC coating , there older knives had a cheap black coating that wore off on the first cut

I have both. The folder is actually very ergonomic and comfortable to use. Definitely a beast of a folder with the Triad lock.

I loved the blade, hated the handle in my XL hands. Often wished they made that blade with the CS Warcraft 5” 3V Tanto. Basically a CS Recon 1 style handle.

Ak47 is DLC coated. It’s way more durable than cold steels cheaper knife coatings.

@@5MinuteKnives One would think that at first but giving it a little more thought there are circumstances where that detail is critical, I have some knifes with soft handles which are comfortable to use but I don't think I'd want to take them into combat or other circumstances where things might get a little hot. One can always wear gloves with the hard handles if needed.
