I bought the Smatchet a few years ago and decided to get the Black Bear when CS came out with them. Both work great in the woods and both have a 40 caliber Glock next to them in the house . Your demonstration is Excellent and much appreciated. All the best.

Tested as it should be. I looked at many tests and I myself use similar tools in clearing and trimming, I would like to recommend an Austrian who has a slightly more extreme approach to testing knives and machetes, his name is Joe x. Greetings from Croatia.

Appreciate you doing that abuse test. Takes alot of guessing out and sure builds confidence in the quality of the steel. I like the desighn and see that it should be able to do many tasks and sort of fill a gap for my needs. I would almost say you could call it a survival knife. I may 90 degree the spine on mine so as I can use it to scrape shavings or shape wood as well. Downside is taking the paint off the spine but to me that would be worth it and make it more woodsman capable.

I love the CT tanto machete 13 in blade that I bought two, also the Barong CT machete is a killer chopper, their machetes are made by Lasher in South Africa

They made those pretty well , good test with the Black Bear Bowie Machete. I own one of those myself 🎯

It's a beautiful knife with a great design. Suitable for hiking and camping. Durable. How many inches wide is the blade? How many inches long is the blade?
