@@michalrybak420 That's true in some cases depending on the style of Tanto but where the Tanto point is greater is in the reinforced tip that pierces tougher material without breaking. Usually clip points are weaker and will break when stabbed into tougher materials and twisted to retrieve the blade from the material. The tanto can be used in a flick cut like a jab from a boxer to cut and can push cut as well with the tip! Overall the Sr1 Tanto is a more durable design than the clip point version.

Cold Steel you should show what effect these test have on the cutting edge and tips rather than showing us over and over that these are the strongest knives in the world, but show they are the sharpest also and can hold their edge after these test. I would be more interested in purchasing your products if i could see what effect these test have on the cutting edge of the knife. A good idea would be close inspection shots of the edge and knife after the test are run. Thanks, and btw, your knives are awesome!

You can remove the thumb studs via Torx bits either T6 or T8 sizes judging from pictures. Blade is exposed enough not to need a nail nick

You can remove the thumb stud and make the nail nick yourself. All you need is the right tools. Stay sharp.

Cold Steel U R the greatest ! I love the Frenzy but I feel a bit uncomfortable with piercing because of the danger to slip onto the blade. What do you think? Is the choil big enough to not slip?

I don’t know if they still do it but for the longest time they would donate the meat and bones (some tests they use cow or pig skulls) to zoos and shelters then it becomes a tax write off.

Hey, I am from Germany an it would be interesting to me if you can convert this Folder into a 2hand opening blade by removing the Thumbstuds. Because over here we are only allowed to carry a locking Blade if it is 2 hand opening. Can you open the Blade one handed even if the Studs are removed? If it is convertable I buy it immedeatly! :-) Silly Laws in Germany, a locking bladed Spyderco with an opening hole would be illegal under every circumstance, can you imagine? Keep up the good work, i like every Video I see! And those are many hehe... Sorry if my English is not on par :-!

You can easily remove the thumb stud or better grind it so this way you don't have a hole in your blade. You can open it without the thumb stud, no problem about that. Just get the right tools and it's easily done. Stay sharp.

I have one. Annnd I’ve made my last Cold Steel purchase. The edge is so uneven it looks as though a toddler sharpened it with an angle grinder. Seriously, the edge is lopsided when you look down the length of the blade. Unfortunately this is something that will take substantial sharpening on my part to bring the edge back to even. Shouldn’t have to do this on a knife at this price point.

I hope you will consider making it with a 3mm blade thickness, because no matter how much I want my knives to be strong, a 5mm thick blade on a folding knife doesn't have much use when it comes to cutting. Best regards.
