I have the Rajah II, and it is brutal. The lock is called the Triad lock. Its on that little one too. Also I've seen video's of people using the 2 for light chopping of brush, and even some light battoning. So the lock is very strong. The small one looks okay, but I have a good small folder.

One of my favorites. It was my EDC before I retired. I loved the way it would cut almost anything.

Good overview...btw, the pin inside the knife under the lock bar is the closed position stop pin.

*"To each his own"* *Too small for my needs, going with the Rahja II, which could perform any task imaginable.* *Thanks for showing this, it helped a lot in making a purchase decision.* 👍

"Accidentally brilliant" is a perfect way to describe this knife lol

What are you talking about? I have the 2. It's awesome. A lot of fun, great chopper. Fits right in the pocket, barely noticeable. That thing, on the other hand, looks useless.

You should try experiencing it in use, because your eyes have reached an incorrect conclusion.

Cold Steel put a cheap plastic backspacer on this instead of the better Aluminum one like the higher end Cold Steel folders have. You get what you pay for.

My favorite knife I own! The best "all round" winner, though some of my knives do certain things better. Instead of being "S-tier" in one category and "C-tier" in another, the Rajah III is basically all "A-tier." Super durable and robust, strong lock, grippy surface, pleasing shape, could be seen as a tool and not exclusively a weapon, making it a good carry... the only thing I didn't like was how sharp the edges of the grip felt on my fingers. But a bit of high-grain sandpaper fixed it easily. It's also a bit of a fingerprint magnet, but the stonewash finish really helps to hide it. I just wish it could be easily snapped open with one hand, outside of a pocket-pull.
