You should probably take note that Applying Poison makes your other debuffs you inflict on the enemy lasts longer, like the timer of other Debuffs wont move until the Poison status ailment is depleted!

Super nice build and explanation, thanks a ton! I'm rocking something very similar with a bit of investment in fire to apply double dot (triple if we count the "spirit" damage from Shock) on the enemy Personally I find Venom Snare much more effective than Discharge as, once you hit the enemy, you are sure not to worry about poison anymore and just focus dealing damage My rotation usually is: Haven's Rage to apply Shock (reduces Toxic Resistance); Venom Snare to apply Poison and stop other debuffs from ticking down (+ it reduces flame resistance); Engulfing Inferno to apply the third DOT and do massive damage Moreover Venom Snare continuous damage and the Status effects damages trigger Absorb Vitality and benefit from Wood increased spell duration for basically infinite passive HP regen against bosses lol

From what I'm seeing on these guides people make. Fire is extremely under rated. Martial arts are risky sure but they're so good for applying debuffs. Literally 3 weapon effects each buffing the accumulation of the next and plague is nasty.

I believe the thorns that sprout up and heal/damage also apply another status effect other than shock. Happened a few times I saw the second effect but I’m not sure if it’s the spell or my reinforcements doing it. Edit: it’s power drop, which means they do less damage to you

Well I have made this build I call baby thunder god. Well its end game build. So wood stat affect duration of effect and also increase damage of thunder. So I basically put 99 stats in wood. Now for other 50 points. 30 points in metal. 4 or 20 point in earth depends on you. I my self got 4 on earth. And 16 in fire. As for skills. I got heavens rage. Thunder weapon. Calamity bolt. As for last skill I use that 0 moral fire ball. As for embedments. Use any you like. But shock accumulation, power drop, and other status affecting embedements which active upon wizard spell hit would be much more useful. Having one on each equipment is better. And at last. Those belt or hook accessories. There is this one which gives you health on wizard spell hit. Equip the one which have that. Its called( health regeneration upon wizardy spell hit). Equip those two. And boom you are ready to go. Each time you hit heaven rage. It gives you alot of hp back. So what I do is. Do some melee or deflect use heavens rage twice. Get some status on them. Like electric and burn. Slow power drop and other things. And then use Calamity bolt. And boom. There you go.

Doesn't seem like lightning weapon is very useful in this particular build, the lightning damage I see it doing is pretty low. Wouldn't something else be better, like Inner Breath to get more divine beast gauge?

Light armor doesn’t bother me tbh. I have a pretty good mastery when it comes to deflecting and as long as you match your enemies Morale rank, they won’t be able to one shot you with critical attacks.

I’m playing ng+ with a fire light armor build with no issues. These type of games you don’t go crazy on enemies you need to pick your battles.

Deflect is all you need from the beginning till the end of the game.

You can change your build whenever you want for free! Once you spawn at the Hidden Village, there will be a house behind you. If the door is open, you can speak to the old man inside and reset your parameters. If the door is closed, you need to progress further into the story.

It’s definitely a tough game, especially if you are not used to souls like games. The most important thing is to deflect. Every time you deflect a critical attack it’s going to destroy the bosses spirit bar which allows for fatal strikes.

Depends which weapon and where in the game you are, if you're trying to get the staff try farming "The Valorous Trio" in part 3. The sword is different as it isn't a guaranteed drop for completing any of the battlefields

Try equipping/getting a Bronze Liubo Dice, it will increase your luck and get you those 4* gear, and if you get/have 2 of these dice you'll be getting 4* gear in bulk (my dice gives me +36 luck each, totaling to +72 luck! However, the dice will give you little less luck based on your progress into the game)

There's unli respec without any cost after you finish the "in search for the immortal wizard" mission.

You can save the builds you make in battle preparation, it saves the entire build weapons skills armor and point distribution, and if you have the gear with you in inventory it’ll even swap to those sets and point distributions so you can make a build for each attribute.

Should take 8 outta something and put it in fire just for amp dmg… and if you get hit with a poison attack you can cancel the effects with amp… amp also pretty much doubles your dmg…
