@@liltretre5037start with vigor and once you have around 25-30 just build into whatever weapon and ash you like using at the beginning of the game, don’t worry about it too much. You gain access to respeccing relatively early in the game and you can’t really make much of a “build” early game anyways due to not having much in the way of spells, ashes or weapons.

Well, couple things: - Spiked Cracked tear enhances charged attacks, as in, charged heavy attacks. Doesn't enhance spells or skills that can be charged. - This is a personal preference but I find the Death Knight's Longhaft Axe better than the twin axes. The twin axes can often miss on strafing opponents, they deal less poise damage and the twin-axe moveset is slow and sub-par compared to two handing a greataxe. - I feel like there's potential left on the table with the spell choices. Lightning Strike and / or Honed Bolt can be comboed and also can reach insanely high DPS if you chain-cast while the enemy is distracted. On the same note, if an enemy is knocked down by Lansseax's Glaive you can walk up and follow with Fortissax's Lightning Spear which will most likely secure the kill even against high tier enemies, like Fire Knights in the DLC. Moreover, you could also include the Frozen Lightning Spear to proc frostbite for 10% flat damage plus a 20% debuff on bosses. - Flowerstone Gavel's ash of war Flower Dragonbolt can reduce the enemy's lightning resistance by up to 15% if fully charged. Think of it like Ranni's Dark Moon but for lightning builds, good idea to have it on you as a debuff stick. - I was hoping to see Dragonking's Cragblade. The AoW knocks most enemies down, even big ones, which allows for a followup incantation of your choice. On that note, if you're gonna use pokey stuff you could alter this build by including a greatshield with a couple blocking and pokey talismans and make a knight of some sort. - The Priestess Heart is a bigger damage buff than the Death Knight set. You do lose on defence (though that can be mitigated somewhat by the use of the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman and Opaline Hardtear) but you get a 20% damage buff on lightning incantations for 60 seconds which stacks with everything. - If you're gonna use Blessing of the Erdtree for passive healing, why not include the Bloodsucking Cracked Tear in your Physick? The blessing negates most of the health drain, and you get more damage. Especially since most gameplay is ranged.

I would personally replace two headed turtle talisman with flock's canvas talisman. The more with Death Knight set, you got 8% for incantations from Canvas and +8% lightning damage from Death Knight set, if you want extra damages, here you go.

Knights Lighting spear Outdoes Ancient Lighting Spears Damage by far and that's without talking about how it shreds enemy stance, the only benefits Ancient lighting spear has over it is it knocks over enemies and you can get it before the dlc, but it's not worth it IMO due to how many point you need in dex, I'd rather get mind to 35 and faith to 80

I run the death knights long shaft axes gives gives you something so you don’t use up too much fp and using knights lightning spear breaks poise really quick so I’m using blade of mercy too instead of turtle

Fantastic build, lighting is my favourite build. A little note, that I found out while checking stats while buffing that if you use Physic after buffs it decreases output but if you take Physic first it goes through the roof. You all probably know this but I thought I should put it out there.

That's how all the lightning weapons are. I have no idea why they thought it was a good idea to split the stat requirements on lightning based weapons so drastically from lightning based spells that it's pretty much impossible to use both effectively together in a normal 150 or lower build.

You can play Deathknight 2hand Axe with Attributes similar to Blasphemous build - Just need to add the Gravelstone Seal and any Piercing Damage replacement for Granssax (I use Pest Threads and MessmerSoldier-Greatspear)

@@ColdBwoyy I'm in the base game but with the DLC installed. I was going through the haligtree and was hitting the snowmen for maybe 3k and Malenia herself for at most 2k. Even after frosting her, I can reach at most 2.7k. The large snowmen take 2 full charged hits from Granseax's bolt(although not under physic). That being said, malenia cannot dodge Granseax's bolts wich was an awesome discovery.

Played this since release but a bit different obviously. It was a good build made I through ng+9 and then dlc came out and I got clapped every fight. Dragon/lightning is really fun to use but in ng+9 dlc run it is nearly useless

I’m playing on NG+7. The difficulty scaling ends at NG+7 which is the maximum difficulty in the game. Build works incredibly well in the DLC as well 🫡

From the looks, he he using : the Iron Kasa (Yura's hat), Death Knight's Armor & Gauntlets and the Malformed-Dragon Greaves. Hat for the fashion. Armor and gauntlets each boost ancient dragon cult incantations (the "lightning spells") by 2%. The greaves are probably because of fashion + poise.

The lightning bolts have to make contact with the boss. It’s a bit rng focused tbh.
