what are the scaling options for the gloss level. Can matt motifs also be printed? Does it depend on the ink or the foil? Thank you for your feedback

Yes! Roland has a huge selection of printable media and they can all be used with both the BN20 and the BN20A. There are several sticker paper materials available. Here is a great video about the differences between the BN20 and BN20A. coldesi.com/2021/11/video-connection-roland-bn20-vs-bn20a/

How did you prevent the burned in lines, when pressing on the polyester?
@ColDesiColman2 жыл бұрын
Hi Michaelangelo! Are you referring to lines from the vinyl's carrier sheet? if so, we haven't had issues with that. Usually lines come from heavy pressure and you hardly need any pressure when heat pressing this vinyl.
@alilove60162 жыл бұрын
What program did you use to creat the cut lines? sorry I'm new at this and trying to learn.
@ColDesiColman Жыл бұрын
Normally you would use Corel or Adobe to make the graphic. You make the cut line a specific color so the Roland software knows what to cut. Then you just set it and hit go.

I wouldn't advise making decorated garments using printed vinyl. DO it the proper way with dye sublimation. What is the wash life of the shirt decorated in this manner?

how many 11x17 t-shirt prints can be made from a single roll of the stuff linked in the description? to make any real kind of profit, what is the "minimum" i could price a basic cotton T with an 11x17 print? right now I sell shirts for $10 (dare not go any higher, no one would buy them otherwise), using 3G opaque. i assume since vinyl is premium stuff (and doesn't wash away like regular heat transfers thanks to the solvent inks) it can easily get away with a higher price?
@foshibuilt94042 жыл бұрын
i sell that same size and t-shirt included for about $23 for a single shirt.. bulk orders are priced lower obviously, for this type of work minimum i go is about $13-$14 for bulk orders.. raise your prices asap. With one roll at the size mentioned you can do about 70 shirts give or take if you have the 75 ft x 20" roll

Is this infused into the shirt like sublimation or does it sit on top like HTV? Thanks.

This is a heat activated transfer that sits on top like HTV.

That is a serious amount of effort , time. [ and all that material is wasted?] are the carrier sheets reusable ?
@ColDesiColman Жыл бұрын
Making t-shirts can definitely be a process, that is why the cost is so low but the retail is high. This was just a demo but in a production environment you would look to minimize waste and work on efficiency. Also for making t shirts our most popular method is DigitalHeatFX.com however the Roland is great for the versatility of stickers, window cling and other non-apparel goods.

@@ColDesiColman can there be a transparency window cling sticker decal? What is the difference between a sticker and decal?
@ColDesiColman Жыл бұрын
@@josephKEOarthur Yes! We offer both clear and white cling material. A sticker and decal can be the same thing. It's really about the material you use. if you want your sticker or decal to be permanent, you would want to use a Permanent Adhesive Vinyl or Sticker Paper. If you want a decal that can be taken on and off easily, and doesn't have a strong adhesive backing, you would want to use a cling material. Here is a guide that shows which material is best for each application - colmanandcompany.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/PDF_MSDS/Roland-BN20-Application-Guide.pdf

I do agree... it does looks bad indeed, and completely unnecessary.. the actual design is wrong. Those large white letters and the white inner square frame SHOULD NOT be in white.. but in the same color of the rest of the design... that way when you weed the letters the cut line itself with the fabric color would form the letters and the square frame ... that way there would be no white borders in the letters and the square frame.. Also the amount of wasted material ( 30 to 40% of vinyl and transfer) doesn't seem too professional either

Hi G T. Anytime you put a transfer or something on top of a garment it is going to block airflow through the garment. But people buy garments decorated with vinyl and transfers all the time. If you want a system that doesn't disrupt the airflow of shirts, check out sublimation - kzbin.info/www/bejne/iGmoXqyJYrWmi7s
