Hey folks! Whew - this took waaay longer to finish than anticipated :D I feel like this has been lying on my desk for three months or so... at any rate: it's done now and I hope you guys think it was worth the wait. Let me know if you still have questions about Sky Full :) One of my favorites from Coldplay, so obviously, I had so much fun working on this, but I also really, really wanted to get it right, you know? I've already begun working on the next Coldplay-related video, which will be this year's Christmas video and it's going to be from Mylo Xyloto - any guesses which song that could be? ;) Anyways, I hope you're all holding up alright out there. To be honest, I'm just really bummed out myself that I haven't gotten around to it yet :/ since I was already making plans for the project as early as last spring...but too much private stuff happened unfortunately that prevented me from getting it out this year.. That being said, it's probably gonna boil down to a 1-year-delay, meaning: spring 2024 is what I'm aiming for now :) Hope you'll stay tuned until then, it's gonna be great, I promise 😄

Hey again, so I just checked it out and it's the same tuning as in the video that I've already done on the Astronaut :) Strumming pattern is just slightly different in that it's more consistently down/up strumming + Chris does this sort of scale upwards on the 1st C-shape of each chorus: x-8-0-0-6-0 --> x-10-0-0-8-0 --> x-12-0-0-0-10-0 Other than that, all the essential stuff is already in the vid I did :) Let me know if you have any questions! Can I also try to request that you take a look into an acoustic guitar version of the hardest part played by Chris in A Head Full of Dreams tour in 2016-2017? I find it amazing and no one has yet tried to study the chords and prolly the tunings that Chris used. Sending all the love 🫶

Chords intro/outro: D-major: x-x-0-2-3-2 F#-minor: 2-4-4-2-2-2 (bar chord) B-minor: x-2-4-4-3-2 (bar chord) On the last round, switch out B-minor for: E-major: 0-2-2-1-0-0 Chords verse: F#-minor D-major A-major: x-0-2-2-2-0 C#-minor: x-4-6-6-5-4 (bar chord) Chorus: D-major A-major Then, Chris (incorrectly, lol) plays a C#-minor, even though the harmony/bass + piano go to an E-major: 0-2-2-1-0-0 On the "Oh and Iiiiiiiiiiii" part, Chris plays this. F#-minor E-major D-major bar: 10-12-12-11-10-10 D-major/C#: 9-12-12-11-x-x B-minor (variation): 7-9-9-7-7-7 (bar) There you go :) Let me know if you have any questions! Take care Jo

Yeah, to be honest, I think the "original" = album version is definitely more beginner-friendly: it has a capo on fret 3 and allows for more basic chords instead of constantly switching between bar- and non-bar chords as does this live version..., which is definitely a little tricky!
