I was the same way when I saw them for the first time in Seattle (20 September 2023), after a 23 year wait. I was so overtaken with emotions throughout the concert/every song! Tears kept rolling incessantly. I've never seen any musical performance such as that soecific, SUPERIOR event, EVER in my life! Coldplay is a world phenomenon!!!

I once read that, to some people, music is the closest thing to a holy experience. I believe I'm one of those people and no one brings me closer to that than Coldplay. It's ridiculous how much they change and experiment but stay exactly who they've always been. Their craft is so much more than music, you can see it, and feel it and taste it. Seeing them live was an experience that I still can't put into words and I'm beyond happy they're back.

I'm almost certain Chris wrote this song about his Ex-Wife, Gwyneth Paltrow. In an article about their split, Gwyneth talks about how they learned that their love could coexist in a place with them not being involved romantically. It's a beautifully wrote article, and she articulates what happened between them extremely eloquently. Chris, I believe wrote this song as his form of catharsis. To me, it's a song about knowing that your relationship has ended for superficial reasons, rather than the love between two people dying. They're still just as in love as they first were, they just know that they've now grown apart so far that they can't come back together. It's heartbreaking but so beautiful in equal parts. Even more so if you've ever loved someone in this way, and broken up with someone in the same manner and for the same reasons. A hauntingly perfect depiction of what this feels like.

Aaaahhhhh. One of the most incredible songs i've heard recently... I don't know how to explain why, but the vocal scales used in this song actually give me chills. It also perfectly captures that feeling that courses through your entire body when you feel love for the first time, or when you have forbidden or dangerous love. There is no better way to describe the feeling other than by calling it "Magic." This song is perfect beyond words in that ability to stir up those emotions in me. i literally do feel in love when i hear this, but i don't know what towards haha..
